Langkawi - Part 1

It’s a whole new year of 2012! =D This is my first blog post of the year. ^^ Well, blogging is slowing down lots for me right now. I think it’s because i play too much games these days that i have no time to write any. O.O Haha~ Hmm… i wonder how did i write so many posts in my secondary school life amidst the real busyness of a life of a class monitor and secretary. XD

Now, the first event of the year… trip to Langkawi! =D A trip with my dear friends, the nine of us, set of to the isle of Langkawi, mainly for the booze and chocolates but for me, it’s just the fun and the chocolates. XD FYI, Langkawi is duty-free if you don’t know it yet. :P We took the afternoon flight to Langkawi. Met at the airport around 5pm. Long time have i not met with all of them together, it’s just good to see them. Haha~

Though we were on time for the flight… it got delayed. –.- AirAsia, haha, i’ve heard of them always having flight delays. Well, what do you expect? Cheap flights, poor service. XD Haha~ The tickets cost us each RM123.Well, at least we have time to catch up and play some games while waiting… although, we missed the sunset. D= In the end, our flight was 7.45pm so we arrived at Langkawi quite late at night. Once we reached there, we had to rent two cars for us to get around the island. Haha~ Those people at the rental car booth seemed to be persistent that we take the Toyota Yaris. I suspected something… but oh well, everyone seemed to be in agreement. In the end, we rented the Yaris and a Toyota Vios. It was about RM70 per person for all 4 days, i’d say considerable. =) We had a late dinner once we arrived at Kuah town, all of us were famished! The food wasn’t enough for everyone but i guess we’re just grateful for any food we could find to fill our empty stomachs. =) We finally arrived at the apartment, Kondo Istana, where we were to stay at for the rest of the trip past midnight. My friend got the lodging for RM79 altogether! =) That’s like really really cheap. The apartment was, well like any other apartment, i’d rate it 3 out of 5 stars. Although it was kinda late when we got to our apartment, my friends still went out to get some beer. Then we all played some cards till around 3pm when we finally slept. That’s about it for the first day… more like a merge between our first and second because of the delayed flight. :P

Day two, hmm… let me try to remember. Ah~ The few of us who woke up early went out for breakfast. We went to a nearby coffee shop to have breakfast and bought back some food for the rest. I’d say, the fishball noodle wasn’t bad, and i think it’s about the best in that coffee shop. Well, that’s just my opinion. Once everyone was awake, we went for the cable car ride up the high mountain! The cable car station was located at the Oriental Village somewhere north of the airport near the mountains. On the way there, we got to see a bay filled with yachts! Well, i think this is the first for me. I’d say, compared to others, i’ve never been overseas much… but then again compared to others, i’ve been to overseas lots! XD lol~ Okay, so at the Oriental Village, we found a booth where we booked island hopping for the next day. We even got the cable car tickets cheaper by RM1 so it’s only RM14 per person. And something funny happened to my clumsy friend. Haha~ It was a big place up the mountain… oh my, dejavu. I felt like i wrote this blog post before in my dreams! =O Haha~ Well, continuing on, some… particularly one of us was afraid of heights! =O Well, i’m sure it’s a common thing. Everyone is scared of heights, just that we have different intensities of fear. =) The winds up there were kinda strong and cooling but not as strong as the ones i felt at Australia at the… err… penguin island i call it. =) Later on, we went to the Pantai Cenang. My friends bought lots of liquor there. (… and that liquor is soon going to be ‘wasted’ later on XD)

Next it was lunch time. We went here there everywhere. The sun was so burning hot and we couldn’t decide on a place to eat. You know, it’s so difficult finding food around foreign places. There, most of the shops seemed closed or too pricey for us. In the end we settled for some Thai restaurant. The asam laksa there was amazingly spicy. Not bad. Overall, the food wasn’t bad but my ice lemon tea was just terrible. x.x

Oh, on our way here… or perhaps it was on the way back… hmm… not sure. Well, we saw an AWESOME FIGHTER JET up-close! Haha~ Well, i don’t think i’ve ever seen one in action up-close before. My friend told me that place was where the LIMA air show takes place. Oh and nearby, there was a super large police training facility which seemed quite redundant. Haha~

Now, if i’m not mistaken, we went back to the apartment after the late lunch/dinner. And that night… well, i was about to encounter a whole new experience. XD An interesting one that i hope would not happen to me. Haha~ Well, it’s kinda late right now. I guess i’ll continue on with the rest tomorrow. =)
