Langkawi – Part 4

Ah~ Time to continue where i left off. It has been 3 parts now to this post. Wow~ That’s the longest i’ve ever written about on thing… hmm… maybe there was another. =) Nevermind, let’s go!

So, it was day three, we were all tired after a long night before. Hmm… but we were still kicking! =D After lunch we decided to go for a movie. Seems that there’s not much choices to the movies and there’s, i think, only one cinema on the whole island. So we went to watch ‘The Darkest Hour’! It’s some movie about invisible aliens invading Earth wanting our precious resources and sucking all electrical energy from living things in the process. Yeah, electrical energy. The human brain sends impulses to the entire body via electric pulses. So the aliens actually see us as food. Haha~ Well, at first everybody seemed to be doomed. Of course it seemed so since the aliens were invisible and they seem to be able to kill humans quite efficiently. Neverthelesss, they found out how to detect the aliens and how to counter their shield as well as hide themselves from the aliens using glass. =) And so the retaliation begins. That’s about so how it ends. =)

After the movies, we went back to our apartment to wash up and rest a little while before dinner. I was all so tired. Sunburned, exhausted, warm, all i felt like doing was cover myself up in a blanket and lie down in bed. Well, i did just that. I snuggled into my sleeping bag and rested awhile. =) We had seafood dinner that night. The food was, well not bad at all… doesn’t seem enough though. :P Maybe it’s because i’m just hungry. After dinner, we decided to go to a beach where we can chill out and relax under the night sky. So we went to Pantai Cenang. =) Ahh~ The beach. Close your eyes, lay on the soft sand, hear the sound of the ocean, the waves beating on the shore, the nice cool breeze. The sky, filled with stars, the moon shining ever so brightly. So calm, so relaxing, such a nice time having a chat with friends and playing around. =D Haha~ That’s about it that night. We spent over 3 hours on that beach. We all then went back to the apartment, played a little cards, watched some TV, then we all went to bed. I could see everyone was tired.

The next morning, well, i woke up early. Partly because i slept on the hard rock floor. XD I’m so bony and you know sleeping on the floor isn’t that comfortable. That morning everyone woke up surprisingly early. And i surprised everyone with Christmas gifts. ^^ Actually, i wanted to wear a Santa hat and sing Christmas carols. Haha~ Make it seem like Christmas to them. It would be nice if we had a Christmas celebration too. XD Haha~ We all packed up and bathed and prepared to check-out. After that we went for lunch. I had Penang loh mee. Haha~ It is Penang loh mee but it’s not as nice. ^^ Later we went shopping for chocolates, biscuit and alcohol! I was asked by my mom not to buy any chocolates so i didn’t buy much. Just two bars and some wafers. We still had quite a lot of time till our flight home so we went to a place called Galeri Perdana where all the gifts to our ex-Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir during his time as PM was. So many things in that place! There wasn’t actually much time to see all of them in detail. Haha~ We were going too fast. =) But it was certainly interesting to see all the things there. We spent most of our time there, then we headed back to the shop where we bought our stuff to collect them cause we left them there as we went to the gallery. We went shopping at another shop that looked really familiar to me. Then i thought, ‘Oh! I think i’ve been here the last time i came to Langkawi!’ That was long ago, when i was still small. Surprising i still remember. =D We had a light tea before heading to the airport. Then once all was settled with the rental cars and luggage, we boarded the airplane and headed home. =)

A long 4 days together with my friends at Langkawi. Many new experiences, interesting events, happy times, fun and laughter. =) Haha~ Almost felt like there could be more. Of course, we had to part and go home, but what happy memories we had there, let’s keep it and reminisce someday. =D With this, i’ll end my post on the Langkawi trip. Haha~ It has been a great time there. =D

Langkawi – Part 3

Haha~ It has been a week now since my last post. I haven’t even finished the post on my Langkawi trip yet. XD Well, i’ll try to finish it off now… if i can. I hope i still remember the events from a week ago. Haha~ I think the holidays are getting to my head. @@

Well, after a very long night, little rest, soon it was morning. That morning, most of us were all just exhausted. Good thing no one got a hangover. Almost all who drank puked all of the alcohol out already. Haha~ We actually wanted to postpone or cancel the island hopping thingy as my friend an i were talking about it last night while everyone was all groggy and asleep. But seems that we already paid for it and everyone seems fine enough to go, just a little head ache and sore throat here and there. Haha~ So off we went. Most of them only woke up about 9am or 10am. We all washed up and prepared for island hopping and left around 11am.

It was a really bright day. The sky was so blue and open and the sun was just glaring at us. We arrived at the jetty where we took a boat from there. I forgot how much it costs… hmm… well, it’s been a week. Haha~ I’ve been slacking so much on this post. Well, first off we were dropped off on an island which name was… err… something… err… hmm… i know i have it somewhere… ??? All i remember was the signboard but in my head right now, it’s blank. XP Oh well, it was some island. The sands were white and small grained, soft. We found a shade where we put our bags and then off we went into the sea. ^^ Yup, we all had fun there. The couple was nowhere to be seen though. Haha~ The rest of us was in the water. Just walking around the shallow spots at first. But i was ambushed and pulled into the water by someone. –.- Kicked a rock in the process. Haha~ Not only that, later one of my friend carried me and threw me into the water also. –.- Wah, i kena bully wei! Haha~ Well, we were all just having fun there. Dipping in the water. It was cold, the water, the wind too was blowing. We spent an hour at that beach then we set off to our next location. Some bay where we saw eagles being fed. The swoop down from the sky and grabbed the chicken drumstick floating on the water. There were brown eagles and grey eagles. Seems to me that the brown ones were not so efficient in catching the chicken from the water. I think the brown ones were the younger ones and the grey, the older ones. :)

Next off we were brought to Pulau Dayang Bunting. There, you could see the profile of the island looking like a pregnant lady laying down on her back. And there was a lake on the island called Tasik Dayang Bunting. I heard last time that if a lady bathed at that lake, she would become pregnant. Haha~ Well, there’s a story behind it but i’m not sure how it goes. We had to hike a little into the lake area but it wasn’t too tiring. At the lake, some of us dipped our legs into the waters and some of us rented a paddle boat and we paddled around the lake. Oh, it was so tiring doing that. And my legs got sunburned because of that. Haha~ So going back was more so tiring then getting to the lake cause my leg was all exhausted from the paddling. XD

Well, that’s actually the last of the island we went to. I’d say, not enough islands. Haha~ I’d rather go to more beaches. XD We sped back to the jetty. Oh the wind was so strong when it hit your face. I even felt like i could have been carried away by the wind as it blew me almost like a parachute. Haha~ When we reached back a the jetty, we all had cool new hairstyles. XD LoL~ It was about 3pm when we got to the jetty if i’m not mistaken. We didn’t have lunch so we went to a nearby mamak at the other larger jetty that seemed to have a mini shopping mall. Oh the food there was so UNHEALTHY! Haha~ I ordered maggi goreng. Yeah, they gave me maggi goreng with the taste of the ocean. XD So SALTY! XD XD LoL~ And the ais kacang there was soooo SWEEET! I think i could feel my teeth decaying there and then. Haha~ High blood pressure and diabetes. XD

Hmm… seems that 3 posts may not be enough to cover what happened in four days. Wierd, i’m pretty sure i managed to squeeze my China trip, which was almost a week long, to just 2 posts. Hmm… maybe i’ve added too much details here. XD Haha~ Well, i’m not sure whether i want to continue on with what happened the other half of the third day and the last day or should i just stop right here. Okay, i’ll just see whether i’m in the mood of continuing tomorrow or later. If not then, oh well, that’s all. =) Okay, that’s all for now. I think almost everyone has now recovered from whatever illness they got from the trip. =) Keep on smiling people! =D It’s good for you! Haha~

Langkawi – Part 2

Well, that night, i bet you could guess what happened. What involves a group of people and a whole lot of alcohol? Throw in some games with it and voila you get a drinking fest! And guess what happens next. XD Of course lots of throwing up and drunk people. Haha~ Well, i was only in the games for the first few rounds. Beer, not much effect. To my bad luck, i was forced to drink so many times in a row. @@ Good thing i had wind in my stomach that i threw up. XD So i didn’t actually threw up from the effects of drinking too much. Haha~ Even before i drank i prayed that i wouldn’t get involved too much into this, that i will know how to control myself. I actually thanked God i threw up. Haha~ Must be a sign that i was needed for the mayhem to come. XD

So, i was out even before the beer was finished. Then my friends moved on to the hard liquor. Vodka shots… with filler as an option. That far, it wasn’t so bad… yet. After i threw up i was so very dissatisfied. Haha~ Well, i just had to try the vodka too. XD Had a bun, and went in for some vodka voluntarily. Still… sober. Next up…. art thee be me pirate’s rum! Yeah, the rum was crazy. You could feel the burning effects of it on your throat. I tried some too. It was, well, more satisfying now. At least i could say i’m satisfied with what i have drank. Still… sober. But, the others were getting drunk. You could tell. The increasing volume, the urge to drink more. Among the nine of us, leave me and the two that sat out on this, means six of them, i’d say all of them were pretty much drunk. And i’d say 3 of them were still able to think straight. But the game still went on. I should have known, and perhaps took action to stop… but i don’t know how to. Haha~ Well, it was to the finish of the bottle of rum… or till one threw up. Fortunately one threw up… at the same time unfortunate cause it was all a mess! He missed the plastic bag i put in front of him. Haha~ Perhaps i should have forced it onto his face. XD Well, once that happened, those sober, three of us, the ones still able to think straight, another three, but one couldn’t help so he sat out, we all had to… well, clean up… and help all the drunkards.

Now, we have 3 sober, 2 drunk but able to help, 1 went straight to bed, 3 absolutely drunk. The one who vomited first was brought to the toilet where he spent much of his time there. Another was sitting on a chair, wanting to sit the whole thing out, to let his liver process the alcohol. He later went on to call someone to talk to! Oh my, i could just imagine how troubled that person would feel… and helpless too. Another was walking here and there, laughing and talking.

Well, we sent off the girls to bed first. Then us boys, 3 of us, one drank quite a lot, had to clean up and tend to the drunk people. We cleaned the floor where all the vomit was, tried to talk to the two who were so active and drunk but to no avail. Then one by one all of them started to vomit as well… till all of them did. @@ The worse was still that guy who vomited first. Wow, so much vomit, seriously. He vomited on the bed as well. I was there, i heard, i saw, i ran for the plastic bag, but i was too late. Oh, there were some stuff on the bed as well, they got vomit too. I tried to salvage whatever was left just in case he were to vomit once again. Well, that was all for him, but he caused the one who went to bed earlier to vomit cause he rolled onto him. XD Chain reaction, at least he was sober enough to ask for a plastic. There left the 2 most drunk of all. After they vomited everything out, they were much more easier to handle. One of them was put in bed so there left one more. The one who drank and helped us wasn’t feeling too good as well so he went for a short sleep. About an hour or so. So i just went around cleaning the toilets, sweeping the floor, tidying everything i could tidy so that it’ll be easier tomorrow, boiled water, tend to the one on the chair.

Around 3am i finally went to rest. The one on the chair was sleeping in and out but i think he’ll be fine so i took my rest. The one who rested for a while then woke up and took over. I’m not sure what he did but i could hear them speaking outside. I was quite uncomfortable too, can’t sleep quite well, stomach, windy. Must be the empty stomach and the little alcohol i took after i vomit. Seems that the one on the chair finally slept at 5.30am and the one who took over didn’t sleep much either. Wow, must be really strong to endure the effects of alcohol and still taking up the responsibility of taking care for the drunk. =) Good job, i salute you. And thanks for teaching me how to handle drunk people. I’d say, this is a valuable experience. It was kinda fun too. Haha~ Just that i couldn’t be the one who shouts at them and be forceful to them. XD Oh well~

Finally woke up at 7am cause i couldn’t sleep much. And WOW! How long this post is. I think i should make a 3rd part then. XD It’s late, i’m having a sore throat right now all of a sudden. Oh well, get some rest, drink lots, eat some medicine and i should be fine. Hopefully everyone else is doing fine. =) Get well soon! Oh my, why i suddenly feel all flushed. @@

Langkawi - Part 1

It’s a whole new year of 2012! =D This is my first blog post of the year. ^^ Well, blogging is slowing down lots for me right now. I think it’s because i play too much games these days that i have no time to write any. O.O Haha~ Hmm… i wonder how did i write so many posts in my secondary school life amidst the real busyness of a life of a class monitor and secretary. XD

Now, the first event of the year… trip to Langkawi! =D A trip with my dear friends, the nine of us, set of to the isle of Langkawi, mainly for the booze and chocolates but for me, it’s just the fun and the chocolates. XD FYI, Langkawi is duty-free if you don’t know it yet. :P We took the afternoon flight to Langkawi. Met at the airport around 5pm. Long time have i not met with all of them together, it’s just good to see them. Haha~

Though we were on time for the flight… it got delayed. –.- AirAsia, haha, i’ve heard of them always having flight delays. Well, what do you expect? Cheap flights, poor service. XD Haha~ The tickets cost us each RM123.Well, at least we have time to catch up and play some games while waiting… although, we missed the sunset. D= In the end, our flight was 7.45pm so we arrived at Langkawi quite late at night. Once we reached there, we had to rent two cars for us to get around the island. Haha~ Those people at the rental car booth seemed to be persistent that we take the Toyota Yaris. I suspected something… but oh well, everyone seemed to be in agreement. In the end, we rented the Yaris and a Toyota Vios. It was about RM70 per person for all 4 days, i’d say considerable. =) We had a late dinner once we arrived at Kuah town, all of us were famished! The food wasn’t enough for everyone but i guess we’re just grateful for any food we could find to fill our empty stomachs. =) We finally arrived at the apartment, Kondo Istana, where we were to stay at for the rest of the trip past midnight. My friend got the lodging for RM79 altogether! =) That’s like really really cheap. The apartment was, well like any other apartment, i’d rate it 3 out of 5 stars. Although it was kinda late when we got to our apartment, my friends still went out to get some beer. Then we all played some cards till around 3pm when we finally slept. That’s about it for the first day… more like a merge between our first and second because of the delayed flight. :P

Day two, hmm… let me try to remember. Ah~ The few of us who woke up early went out for breakfast. We went to a nearby coffee shop to have breakfast and bought back some food for the rest. I’d say, the fishball noodle wasn’t bad, and i think it’s about the best in that coffee shop. Well, that’s just my opinion. Once everyone was awake, we went for the cable car ride up the high mountain! The cable car station was located at the Oriental Village somewhere north of the airport near the mountains. On the way there, we got to see a bay filled with yachts! Well, i think this is the first for me. I’d say, compared to others, i’ve never been overseas much… but then again compared to others, i’ve been to overseas lots! XD lol~ Okay, so at the Oriental Village, we found a booth where we booked island hopping for the next day. We even got the cable car tickets cheaper by RM1 so it’s only RM14 per person. And something funny happened to my clumsy friend. Haha~ It was a big place up the mountain… oh my, dejavu. I felt like i wrote this blog post before in my dreams! =O Haha~ Well, continuing on, some… particularly one of us was afraid of heights! =O Well, i’m sure it’s a common thing. Everyone is scared of heights, just that we have different intensities of fear. =) The winds up there were kinda strong and cooling but not as strong as the ones i felt at Australia at the… err… penguin island i call it. =) Later on, we went to the Pantai Cenang. My friends bought lots of liquor there. (… and that liquor is soon going to be ‘wasted’ later on XD)

Next it was lunch time. We went here there everywhere. The sun was so burning hot and we couldn’t decide on a place to eat. You know, it’s so difficult finding food around foreign places. There, most of the shops seemed closed or too pricey for us. In the end we settled for some Thai restaurant. The asam laksa there was amazingly spicy. Not bad. Overall, the food wasn’t bad but my ice lemon tea was just terrible. x.x

Oh, on our way here… or perhaps it was on the way back… hmm… not sure. Well, we saw an AWESOME FIGHTER JET up-close! Haha~ Well, i don’t think i’ve ever seen one in action up-close before. My friend told me that place was where the LIMA air show takes place. Oh and nearby, there was a super large police training facility which seemed quite redundant. Haha~

Now, if i’m not mistaken, we went back to the apartment after the late lunch/dinner. And that night… well, i was about to encounter a whole new experience. XD An interesting one that i hope would not happen to me. Haha~ Well, it’s kinda late right now. I guess i’ll continue on with the rest tomorrow. =)
