Storm...

Travelling in a car i often look out the window,
Observing the outside world,
As if secluded from me,
I see but not hear,
Only the music from the radio,
But the sight is of another.

I see the wind blowing,
The trees rustle in silence,
Their branches sway,
As if waving to me,
As if dancing a rain dance,
Of the imminent thunderstorm yet to come.

I see leaves flying across the road,
Swept by the unseen wind,
Proof of its existence.

The sky is grey,
Darkness engulfs the sun,
Thunder roars from afar,
Lightning flashes make night to day,
The harbinger of a storm,
Proves true as raindrops begin to fall,
Drop by drop it makes a muffled thump,
As it splatters on the windscreen,
All these happens as i watch,
Silently in awe.

Such peaceful serenity it brings,
Watching nature in silence,
It lets my thoughts stray,
With the wonderful imaginations,
Of the wonders of nature.

Mock exams over! Hols are here!

Yesterday was the last day of my mock exams! What a relief~ Now i can finally find time to study... if i would ever feel like studying during the hols. :P

Well, Monday was Thinking Skills 1. I was almost late for the paper! The paper was at 11am. I left my house at 10.30am. Fastest time to reach college is about 20 minutes. This time i arrived at the parking place, about 500m from college (estimate...), at 10.55am! Past paced my way to college, ran up the stairs to reach the exam classroom at 11.01am! Lucky me, the paper hasn't started. Phew~ That was close. I was all sweaty and panting though. Not advisable to be before exam. You should be in the hall 10 minutes before time to calm yourself down... i wasn the total opposite of calm. Oh well~ I did manage to finish the paper.

Chemistry 5 was yesterday. Kind of hard actually. Unexpectedly. Well, i did my best but my answers are somewhat contradicting... guess it's wrong calculations. So i am basically going to fail this paper. I was too concentrated on 2 questions i left out, thinking till the last minute, that i didn't turn to the back page till times up and found out that there was a 1 mark question behind the paper! Aaaaargh! It was an easy one actually and i could have done it. Unfortunately, i was sitting behind and the invigilator started to collect the paper from behind! So, i didn't have a chance to scribble some last words to complete my paper. I am totally going to fail my science subjects. (however, my definition of 'failure' is actually a B or perhaps a C :P)

Later i went to Pyramid with a newly met friend who invited my friends and i to a game of bowling. Played 2 rounds. Did better at my first. On the second round however, my 2 friends from my class and i got the same score! 54! So it's, 'Express class UNITED!!!' Hahaha~ Then i followed him to meet another friend, of one who i already know, to Tim Gary. Had lunch there and some chit chat. Then they parted back to college and i with one of my other friend (the other friend of mine 'abandoned' us to Italliannies to meet some of his friends) stayed back at Pyramid. We met up with the 'abandoner' and went round Pyramid. Bought an ice cream from Chocolate Lounge for RM1.50. Not bad at all, i think it could actually rival McD's ice cream. :P

So, it's my holidays now. One and a half weeks. Going back to Penang this hols. Got to study some time. A2 is gonna be tough so i've gotta be prepared... just like all my other friends out there who have exams coming soon. :) Well, enjoy your hols everyone!

Darkness in the midst of exams!

As the title suggests, there was a sudden blackout of the South Building at my college during my Maths 4 paper! It was kinda like my prayers answered cause i was worried when my brain stalled at the first question! I was like thinking, writing, cancelling, rewriting, more cancelling until i gave up and went to the next question… and it was only the first question!!! The lights went out when i was at my second question. Immediately after the light went off, i forced my eyes to adjust to the dark (though practically not possible) and sped up to make up for the time loss. In the end there was a 10 minute additional time. Oh, and the lights did not come back on for the whole paper. The invigilators opened the doors to let light in. Kind of cool doing your exam in the dark… actually hot. :P It was a first for me.

Okay, that was the last paper of the day. The first two were Physics 4 and 5. It was devastating! Did not study enough!!! DOOMED! Didn’t quite remember the right equations! Left blank 3 questions (5 marks total loss) and made many many wild wild guesses! So~ most probably get a B at most. Still, i’m glad that 2 subjects are over and there are just 2 more. (not merely a ‘just’ isn’t it?) Well, the 2 papers left are… should be, easy. That’s why i’m not currently studying! Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha… x10^infinity. ^o^

Mock Exams!!!

My Mock Exams began yesterday with my first paper, Thinking Skills 2. Well, it was tough... most probably because i'm not that good at critical thinking... or perhaps i just can't process the many words in the passage in a short period of time. :P

Today however, was Maths 3 and Chemistry 4. Maths 3 was okay, i did quite well i think. I know i got the first question wrong cause i got confused between ordinates and intervals. It's always like that for the first few questions, i'd be somewhat blur. But as i progress through the paper i get better and better and faster and faster. Chemistry 4 was.. well, all subjective papers are tough. Went quite smoothly at first. Got stuck here and there, left out a few questions. When i reached the Applications part suddenly i heard the lecturer say, '25 more minutes'. I was like oh no, i'm too slow. Gotta speed up! Left 3 questions and some unanswered ones before! So i rushed through Section B without taking much time reading the questions and making wild guesses to the answers. Then i went back to the unanswered questions and made wild wild guesses. The first plausible answer is my answer. No time to think through. Then i was on my last question to completely finish the whole paper. It was one on buffer solution, calculations. I was thinking until i finally got the idea on how to do it then... you know. Times up! O.H.N.O! Well, i put my pen down in defeat and accepted my defeat... though i shouldn't have done that but frantically race to finish it.

Oh well, it has passed. Now i'm studying for my Physics 4 and 5 tomorrow... or should i say today since it's 12.00am. Yes, i'm studying right in front of the computer. Really haven't touched my Physics notes till tonight. Guess i'll have no time to finish studying. So, go i must into the examination without complete preparation. Also, there is Maths 4 Mechanics tomorrow... haven't touched my notes either. Bottom point, i'm DOOMED! Well, plan to finish browsing through my Physics notes then sleep... sleep, very, very important for students. It kind of like 'saves' the information you have learnt in to your 'computer' up in your head. Not sleeping is like your 'computer' shut down all of a sudden and you haven't saved your document... hmmm, my analogy is flawed since nowadays computers can retrieve that lost data. Oh well~

My advice to you, accompany study with sleep. So, goodnight everyone wherever you are. :)
