Perhaps i’ve been made prepared for exam that studying feels pointless… then again, i’ve not been doing well lately.
Up and down, round and round, that's life's roller coaster, stop for a moment, spread a smile, It'll all be better. :)

Thomas Cup 2010 Finals
Scholarship Award Ceremony
Arrived around 8.45am for registration. Had a short chat with friend before the ceremony started at 10am. Then it was straight to certificate giving after a speech. It is said that there is 862 recipients for the Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah Continuing Scholarship and Entrance Scholarship. Wow… that’s a lot…. and a lot of tuition fee waiver too! Haha~
So, i was number 225. The line goes quite quickly. at 10.50am it was my turn. Then i had to wait till about 12 something for the whole event to end. Not allowed to go home… well, what do you expect from a formal function? At the end of all of it, there was a photograph taking session. Well, might as well be in the photograph since i waited till now. :) Then it was all over. :)
Oh, forgot to mention. There was a performance by err… somebody… Well, he played the saxophone. :) I’ve always admired the saxophone… not mentioning the piano too! Haha~ I want to learn some other instrument but i just don’t have a chance. (sigh) Well, guess i’ll have to wait till later. :) Ah yes, the performance. Well, as i said i like the saxophone so obviously i like saxophone music. :P Yes, it was mesmerising… err… well, my eyes and ears were focused on it. Listening to every note and observing the gestures of a saxophonist. Interesting. :) Haha~
Well, that’s it for now. :) Happy birthday to Li Ren and Su Qi. There are quite a whole lot of birthdays in May in my calendar. :)
Uber Cup 2010 Finals
The whole of Korea would be celebrating now as Korea has defeated China in the Uber Cup 2010 Finals. For many years China has defended the title and this is the first time Korea holds the Uber Cup. Seeing them play, i am amazed by their fighting spirit and their determination. Their aggressiveness so great they fight to the last score.
A glimmer of hope it seems as Korea won the first singles against China’s World No. 1. Amazing Korea won two sets in a row. Perhaps the Chinese player had an injury? Continuing on with the first doubles, Korea again defeated China in 3 sets. Hopes run high amongst the Korean team members. Alas, China got their first win against a young Korean player, 17 years of age. Still, she fought to the last match. The determinant, second doubles match… 1 more win for Korea and the Uber Cup is in their hands. It was a fight to the ‘death’. Both teams playing so passionately, concentrating on the shuttle. Not wanting to make any mistakes for it may spell disaster. You could see it in their faces, their determination. The joyous feeling of winning the point, the heartache of making a mistake. During the last set, you could see the anxiety mounting. The Korean’s feeling the pressure, their hands tremble. Yet, they try with all their might to conceal it. The Chinese, it seems almost like they have nerves of steel. They do not tremble under pressure. A smart move delaying the start of each serve… it’s not only a war of endurance… psychological war. Korea 20-19 China. The moment of truth. One point for China… it will be a battle of stamina and endurance… the first to falter loses. One point for Korea, hearts will fill with joy, an overwhelming joy, indescribable… relief. The shuttle hits the net… and as it slowly falls to the floor, it registers in the minds of the people… Korea has won.
Such a joyful victory for the Koreans. (applause) They fought for it, and they deserve it. For the first time, Korea won the Uber Cup. Everyone in Korea must have been watching and cheering for them. Jumping for joy when their national team won the cup. :) Haha~ imagine the whole of Korea celebrating… and the team too! :) Hope you enjoyed the seemingly dramatic story. :P Haha~ Cheers!
