New Year’s Eve 2010

Well, it has been a great and interesting year at college. Everything new to me at the start of the year. Made new friends, had plenty of great time with them. My Physics buddies, we go almost everywhere together. Eating together… well, it proves to be quite hard to do so and often end up having late lunch because non of us can make up our mind. :P So we just linger around, the four of us, in the circle of boredom. :P Whenever we go to Pyramid, we’d somehow gravitate towards the same place… fast food. :P Haha~
This year i evaded any such responsibilities that comes to me. If one so ever comes, i just deflected it to someone else. :D Haha~ Poor friend of mine but seriously you’re a hardworking, responsible and admirable person. After years of responsibilities at school i just wanted to feel how it’s like being normal… just not needing to worry about stuff. Well, i did feel more free than i’ve ever been… but that just made me more lazy. Haha~
A-Levels Express Jan ‘10. A one year A-Levels course most probably meant for students who want to have larger options in choosing a university or for students who would enter Australian universities. I made my decision to choose this course to test myself. Yes, to see how ‘smart’ i really am. Turns out, i’m just normal. Nothing special. Maybe it’s just that i understand things better. So, now i know myself better, hope i’ll do better in the years to come.
Currently i’ve only applied to the local Monash. Looks like i’m set at heading there although i do want to experience a life living in a hostel, being independent. Local Nottingham would be good for that. My friend is trying to persuade me to join him there. :P Interested… but my parents doesn’t allow me. Well, just hope that Monash will accept you despite you lacking Specialist Maths. :)
This month has been awesome. All the activities and practices. Went ice skating for the first time, went badminton with friends, bowling, Christmas drama practice, carolling, camp. So many activities, very tiring but it’s all worth it. I really enjoy December, don’t you? :) Now i have a whole month of holiday not knowing what to do. Work? A month, ain’t it a little short? Well, i hope i’ll find something to do. :)
So now, it’s the end of the year. 2011 is coming. A new year… new beginnings… new opportunities. Go for it! Well then, to everyone, have a great year ahead despite all troubles that may come, remember to smile and laugh as often as you can. All the best! Finally, take care… currently there seems to be a bug going round. :P Alritez, Joel signing out for the last time, fare thee well blog. Tata~

Wonders of the night

It’s really chilly tonight don’t you think? Almost as though the outside is air-conditioned! I love the night. Being outside… the coolness… the breeze… reminds me of… Christmas. Perhaps the best time of the year for me. Imagine… the cold atmosphere, slight breeze, the night sky riddled with ever so plentiful stars, and the moon shining brightly, being in the car, being driven not the one driving, staring out the window, the soft music from the radio, plays your favourite song. Seriously, what do you think? Do you feel how it? The peace and calming sensation. Just love it so much~

You see things happening… the night awakens with activity… for those who work at night! The heroes of the night. Workers paving the road, maintenance going on, guards doing their duty. It’s a totally different world at night. Almost like ‘Night at the Museum’. :)

Well, i wonder… how does the night portray itself to you? :)

Meteor!

Aww… i haven’t been blogging lately! What happened to the hardcore blogging spree till the termination of me blog???

Well, something interesting i saw tonight. It was just a brief moment. A streak of light. Up in the night sky. Guess what it is. A meteor! Cool~ I think it’s the second time i saw a meteor! :) :D Ah~ So happened i recently watched ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs’. Hmm…. could it be something else??? :D

Hmm… darn. I have nothing to say! What happened to all the inspiration??? Sigh~ Well, happy holidays to you school people. :)

Of cold and wetness!

Ouch! Legs aching, blisters all over, sprained wrist. The tiredness and sleepiness. Planned months ago but never came to past till now. Still, it’s only the four of us guys. Ah well~ Ice skating of course!

Finally after suggestions and failed plans to go ice skating we finally did go ice skating… although not as a whole class unfortunately. Just the four of us guys, the Physics boys. We have spent much much time together. Makan, bowling, archery, movie and not skating.

Today, right after our Moral Studies presentation we went to Pyramid for ice skating. Something new to me but i’ve always wanted to try it out… and now i did! Whee~ Ate very small lunch. Was hungry actually after skating but it’s so close to dinner i’d rather wait. Arriving there we were greeted by some promoter for skating membership. RM40 for membership, 2 complimentary tickets! There were 4 of us so it was just nice a number. Got to save RM12 altogether by applying for membership. So that’s what we did. Two of us applied and we got 4 tickets! Yo, now we’re ready for skating!

Surprise! I met someone familiar. Jennifer was there too with her friends! When she heard it was my first time skating, she offered to teach me! Why, how could i not accept such an offer. Seems that she’s got lots of experience already. Seriously Jennifer was a really very good teacher. I think within half an hour i could at least skate on my own! Yeah, i was somewhat determined to be able to skate. Determination helped me through… but not without a collection of falls and ‘dances’. :D I fell many times… and i mean many. Kind of like a dare devil trying to go fast though i only just started learning. First fall my butt fell on the heel of the skates! Gosh! 2 falls hurt my right wrist. A hard fall on my right butt made a bruise. A fall on rough ice scraped my arm… but thankfully no bleeding… but there was blood. Another fall bruised those scrape wounds. First round of skating brought me a blister on my ankle. Tightening the skates till almost literally squeezes the blood out of my feet made a blister on my heel! Gosh! That’s a lot of injuries! Seriously! And last but not least the tiredness~

I didn’t expect the tiredness. :P Didn’t take it into account when i was planning to study for Moral Studies at night. Right now, i’m tired and aching all over and sleepy… i should really go to bed. Finished studying…. well, the important parts… just want to finish this blog entry then i’ll fly off to dreamland~ :D

Hmmm… actually, i’m kind of finished with this post. Right, time to sleep! I shall end this post with a thank you very much note to Jennifer for being such a great teacher! Tq. :) Tata~ (fainted) :P

Dilemma

Come you say,
With much welcome,
Come i do,
With much pleasure,
Stay away,
Suddenly you say,
Alright then,
I’ll stay away,
Come again,
You welcome me,
Come again,
I certainly shall,
Shunt me,
Yet again you do,
Back or forth,
Shall i go,
Dilemma i’m in,
Confused i am.

Drowned by love

Feelings for the one you love,
Feelings not felt in return,
Love the attitude of the one you love,
Love not the outlook of the one you love,
Much care you have for the one you love,
Care not by the one you love,
Why then do you love the one you love?
Simple, you’ve been drowned in love.

Love one-sided

Want,
But denied,
Care,
Not returned,
Feelings,
Not entertained,
Love,
Not loved,
What then,
But love one-sided.

Last day of exams

Well, well, yesterday was my last day of exams. Short break till Moral Studies next week. Hmm…. suddenly don’t know what to blog about. Oh right, how i celebrate the end of exams. After Physics 5, i went to Pyramid with my friends for bowling. Not so very good at bowling but i really don’t mind. :) It’s better than snooker and archery there. Snooker too smoky and archery too X. Movies… well, we plan to have one movie outing with the whole class on Friday. Don’t know how it’ll be. :) Actually, that’s about it. :P Drove back home in the heavy rain. First time driving in such heavy rain and flooded roads. Oh, that reminds me. I park my car quite a distance from college. It was raining so heavily my umbrella couldn’t do much to shelter me.. and my friend. As we were walking on the sidewalk, several cars sped by and guess what, it splashed water all over us… well, my friend got the worse cause he’s standing on my left. Yeah… the rain was so heavy i was soaked. I was practically walking in a pool of water, my shoe was soaked, so were my socks. :)

Feelin’ bored

Staring at the blank laptop screen, listening to music. Sigh~ I’m feelin’ bored already! Can’t be… my exams aren’t over yet! :P

Don’t know what to do. Then it came to me, ‘Hmm… might as well blog.

Well, updates. Last exam paper next Monday, Physics 5. Christmas drama practice starts tomorrow. Moral Studies commence the week after next. KSern Plans to have gathering some time end of November. Alan plans to have trip for ex-Seanarians. Gonna finish Kingdom Hearts after my exams end (last boss but couldn’t finish on time before college started :P). Probably back to finding new things to learn. The internet is a formidable source of knowledge… but can’t be fully trusted. Perhaps i’ll learn the basics of piano. Hmm… why is it that what general knowledge i learn of astronomy, meteorology, psychology and horticulture doesn’t seem to stick to me. Always slip away from me and constantly needing to read up. Hmm… what else have i learnt… calligraphy. I think i’m okay at it. Knots, i know quite a few. First aid… i think i forgot most already. Haha~ I’ve got lots of interests so it’s kinda hard for me to pick a field at university. Most of all i am somewhat fascinated with electronics… although i know almost nothing about it. Paradox. LoL. :)

Alright, nothing to do now. Continue to be bored. Gotta find somethin’ to do. :) Ciao.

Self declared last day of exams

Heya people! Long time no see! Haven’t blogged since last month but today i’m back. Kinda busy lately with exams. Just finished 2 major papers this week! Chem 4 and Physics 4! Crazily tough papers. Well, i could say that today is the start of my hols but next week i have one more paper left. However, it ain’t a studying paper. Therefore, it’s the holidays! Yay! :D (hmm…. actually not so, i have moral studies for 2 weeks!)

Okayz, Monday was Physics 4. I was so super duper very worried about it. Studied as much as i could but couldn’t study everything in one day! At least i’ve already read it through before although it’s some time ago. All the facts hiding somewhere in my head. Just gotta find it. :P Well, the paper was tough but for some reason, i did it quite quickly and i was satisfied with my answers. After the paper, i wasn’t feeling down or anything but really just satisfied and even though perhaps it wasn’t too bad.

Today however was a different thing altogether. The total opposite actually. I was somewhat confident with my Chemistry but the paper was totally weird and there were many AS questions! I thought i would fare better for Chemistry but now i think perhaps Physics was easier. My paper was so messy. I wasn’t feeling very happy with the paper and my answers. I think i may be doomed for this paper! I should have known, paper 5 was relatively easy so paper 4 would be damn tough! LoL :P

Well, AUSMAT science student would finish their exams today. I guess everyone would be finishing their exams soon. Hmm… come to think of it, SPM hasn’t started yet. LoL. It starts on the 23rd and end almost near Christmas! That’s crazee~ Alright, now it’s time for me to rest from all the stresses of exams. I pray that my results will be at least a AAB. Good enough for me. :)

2 subjects over!

Maths and Thinking Skills are officially over! Yay! At least i could celebrate that. :) However, today’s Maths 6 paper was… okay, if not good. I did know how to do the questions… except one unfortunately. Therefore, 10 marks most probably lost there. The rest i’m quite confident. Looks like i have to settle for an A star. Good enough i shall say. That would mean i’m somewhat average. I set out taking A-Levels Express to test how good i really am. Now it seems that i may just be like any other student at their best field. Well, that’s just the pre-analysis. Haha~ Wait till i get my results. I may do worse than i speak of. :P

First subject over!

Yay! Thinking Skills is done! It was really tough this morning. Didn’t quite finish in terms of sentences but i did manage to try all the questions. Hopefully at least a ‘c’. After all, i only had 5 classes with my lecturer (for paper 2, i have 2 lecturers for Thinking Skills) this semester. Well, it is over now so let’s not THINK about THINKing Skills! LoL :D

Well, tomorrow will be Maths 3. Then it’ll be my 2nd subject to be done! Then there’s going to be another long break where i would most probably rot some more. :P That’s all for now. Time for Restaurant City! Haha~

Boy meets girl

If a guy sees a girl perfect in his eyes and a girl sees a guy perfect in her eyes, then all is well to be together.

Thinking Skills!!!

Hey, how’s things? Haha~ I feel so bored at home. You know, i don’t think i like exams stretching that long with too long breaks between papers. I’m currently rotting at home here~ Got to study THINKING SKILLS of all things! How does one study to think????? Haha~ Well, my timetable is… actually good, for last minute studying… which is what i’m doing. However, the long breaks eg 3-5 day breaks are killin’ me! I’m slacking a lot and bored as well. Thinking Skills paper 2 is… tomorrow. I am not prepared for what i think may be the hardest paper for me! 1 day to study and become a critical thinker. Gotta ask some advice from the Thinker. Anyone seen him around??

I don’t want to miss you anymore….

When you say, ‘I don’t want to miss you anymore,’ it can mean either that you don’t ever want to part with that someone, or you really do want to part with that someone.

20102010

Heya people! Do you know what day it is today? Well, it’s 20/10/2010! It spells twenty-ten-twenty-ten. :) Haha~ One of those unique days. Just 10 days ago it was 10/10/10 which spells…. ten-ten-ten! :P Hmmm…. it seems that i have lived through 20/01/2001, 20/02/2002, 20/03/2003, 20/04/2004, 20/05/2005, 20/06/2006, 20/07/2007, 20/08/2008, 20/09/2009 and today 20/10/2010! Yet to come is 20/11/2011 and 20/12/2012… hmmm…. 2012. The movie… Haha~ Gotta say, why the heck am i not studying? Alright, going to…. do something. (sleep most probably :P) See ya!

Thinking Skills… ain’t for people who can’t think!

Haha~ I had Thinking Skills Paper 1 today. 30 MCQ’s in 1.5 hours. I have to say, it’s pretty darn tough. Need lots of time to think critically and make decisions. Ain’t an easy task to do. The problem solving questions are still fine… except when it comes to currency exchange. The critical thinking questions takes lots of time to ponder on. Not sure how i’ll do. Did my best, hopefully i did well for paper 1. Still have paper 2 and it’s the subjective part. Evaluate evidence, arguments and flaws. I am somewhat doomed. Best i can get would be a ‘b’ but i’m alright with that. Hopefully not a ‘d’. Okayz, paper 2 Thinking Skills and Maths 3 next week. For now, i shall rest. :)

9 hours to go…

Well hello. :D Just a quick one, my exams start tomorrow and it’s the beginning of the end of my A-Levels. 8 papers to go. After tomorrow 7 and so on. Counting the papers left before i part from my very small group of friends in the A-Levels Express class of 2010. Well, all the best to everyone out there taking A-Levels. I’ll aim to do my best and in the process if i so happen to get top in the world, just my luck. :D Tata~

Advanced Level Examination

Heya, back here again! Hmm… it’s exam season… what am i doing here? My exam starts on Monday. Yadayada. Maths 4, if you know what it means, followed by Thinking Skills 1 on Wednesday. Just so you know…. THINKING SKILLS IS REALLY REALLY SUPER DUPER HARD for me!!! Hmm… perhaps i’m exaggerating… but, it really is hard to score and i don’t seem to be able to unravel its mysteries just yet.

Lately… i’ve been much of a late sleeper. My average time when i sleep is now about 1.30a.m. I know, for some of you out there, it’s early. You know, teens these days. Haha~ just kidding. Well, it’s the ‘supposed’ holidays… no, actually, all my classes already ended. So it’s more like, ‘A-Levels over! Yippie!’ but then again not so cause i have Moral Studies in December. Confusing eh? Haha~

Alright, that’s all for now. I’ll update on my exams l8er. c ya ppl. ciao. :P :) :D

Oh hey, although i did say i was going to stay with this blog to my very end and not make a new one…. i actually have a 2nd currently inactive blog. (gasp) :P Well, some of you know… perhaps only 3 know about it. :P I may blog there once in a while after this blog is TERMINATED. Website to be told in my last blog entry…. if i remember. :P Hint: mist-terious

238th

Yo, looks like my last entry will not be my last after all! I shall continue to blog in here till the very last day i can blog this blog. Yeah, gotta cherish every last moment blogging cause i have decided to quit blogging until someone influence me otherwise. Muahahaha! So, i’ve got till the start of next year which means… hold on a sec, let me count… err… including today… i have 77 days of blogging! Hahaha~ So i’d better blog my heart out.

Well, decisions, decisions. My blog is soon to be terminated by Windows Live cause they want us (hmm… perhaps i may be the only one…) Live bloggers to upgrade to WordPress. By January 2011, i can’t blog anymore, by March 2011… (cue Auld Lang Syne) well, my blog will be no more…. let us have a moment of silence………… a moment later – okayz, moving on~ I had to choose 1. Transfer my blog to WordPress 2. Create a new blog with Blogger 3. Do nothing at all, cherish every single last moment and stick with this blog till the end. I have chosen the 3rd choice after much consideration.

Alrighty right, that’s all for now. I’ll continue on in my next blog entry. Cheers and smileys. :D

Fare thee well

15th October 2010, this will be my last post in this blog. Sad to leave it… but i have no choice cause Windows Live Spaces is going away~ After almost 4 years using this blog, i have to say, ‘Fare thee well’. Already used to this blog, don’t know how i’ll fare with another. Nevertheless, i shall continue my blogging, most probably in Blogger. So, you’d most probably find me in rollercoasterofthehighestamplitude.blogspot.com although i haven’t made it yet at this moment. Well, farewell faithful blog. This is my 237th blog entry. jsooncx signing out for the last time. Tata~ See you in another blog. :P

Storm...

Travelling in a car i often look out the window,
Observing the outside world,
As if secluded from me,
I see but not hear,
Only the music from the radio,
But the sight is of another.

I see the wind blowing,
The trees rustle in silence,
Their branches sway,
As if waving to me,
As if dancing a rain dance,
Of the imminent thunderstorm yet to come.

I see leaves flying across the road,
Swept by the unseen wind,
Proof of its existence.

The sky is grey,
Darkness engulfs the sun,
Thunder roars from afar,
Lightning flashes make night to day,
The harbinger of a storm,
Proves true as raindrops begin to fall,
Drop by drop it makes a muffled thump,
As it splatters on the windscreen,
All these happens as i watch,
Silently in awe.

Such peaceful serenity it brings,
Watching nature in silence,
It lets my thoughts stray,
With the wonderful imaginations,
Of the wonders of nature.

Mock exams over! Hols are here!

Yesterday was the last day of my mock exams! What a relief~ Now i can finally find time to study... if i would ever feel like studying during the hols. :P

Well, Monday was Thinking Skills 1. I was almost late for the paper! The paper was at 11am. I left my house at 10.30am. Fastest time to reach college is about 20 minutes. This time i arrived at the parking place, about 500m from college (estimate...), at 10.55am! Past paced my way to college, ran up the stairs to reach the exam classroom at 11.01am! Lucky me, the paper hasn't started. Phew~ That was close. I was all sweaty and panting though. Not advisable to be before exam. You should be in the hall 10 minutes before time to calm yourself down... i wasn the total opposite of calm. Oh well~ I did manage to finish the paper.

Chemistry 5 was yesterday. Kind of hard actually. Unexpectedly. Well, i did my best but my answers are somewhat contradicting... guess it's wrong calculations. So i am basically going to fail this paper. I was too concentrated on 2 questions i left out, thinking till the last minute, that i didn't turn to the back page till times up and found out that there was a 1 mark question behind the paper! Aaaaargh! It was an easy one actually and i could have done it. Unfortunately, i was sitting behind and the invigilator started to collect the paper from behind! So, i didn't have a chance to scribble some last words to complete my paper. I am totally going to fail my science subjects. (however, my definition of 'failure' is actually a B or perhaps a C :P)

Later i went to Pyramid with a newly met friend who invited my friends and i to a game of bowling. Played 2 rounds. Did better at my first. On the second round however, my 2 friends from my class and i got the same score! 54! So it's, 'Express class UNITED!!!' Hahaha~ Then i followed him to meet another friend, of one who i already know, to Tim Gary. Had lunch there and some chit chat. Then they parted back to college and i with one of my other friend (the other friend of mine 'abandoned' us to Italliannies to meet some of his friends) stayed back at Pyramid. We met up with the 'abandoner' and went round Pyramid. Bought an ice cream from Chocolate Lounge for RM1.50. Not bad at all, i think it could actually rival McD's ice cream. :P

So, it's my holidays now. One and a half weeks. Going back to Penang this hols. Got to study some time. A2 is gonna be tough so i've gotta be prepared... just like all my other friends out there who have exams coming soon. :) Well, enjoy your hols everyone!

Darkness in the midst of exams!

As the title suggests, there was a sudden blackout of the South Building at my college during my Maths 4 paper! It was kinda like my prayers answered cause i was worried when my brain stalled at the first question! I was like thinking, writing, cancelling, rewriting, more cancelling until i gave up and went to the next question… and it was only the first question!!! The lights went out when i was at my second question. Immediately after the light went off, i forced my eyes to adjust to the dark (though practically not possible) and sped up to make up for the time loss. In the end there was a 10 minute additional time. Oh, and the lights did not come back on for the whole paper. The invigilators opened the doors to let light in. Kind of cool doing your exam in the dark… actually hot. :P It was a first for me.

Okay, that was the last paper of the day. The first two were Physics 4 and 5. It was devastating! Did not study enough!!! DOOMED! Didn’t quite remember the right equations! Left blank 3 questions (5 marks total loss) and made many many wild wild guesses! So~ most probably get a B at most. Still, i’m glad that 2 subjects are over and there are just 2 more. (not merely a ‘just’ isn’t it?) Well, the 2 papers left are… should be, easy. That’s why i’m not currently studying! Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha… x10^infinity. ^o^

Mock Exams!!!

My Mock Exams began yesterday with my first paper, Thinking Skills 2. Well, it was tough... most probably because i'm not that good at critical thinking... or perhaps i just can't process the many words in the passage in a short period of time. :P

Today however, was Maths 3 and Chemistry 4. Maths 3 was okay, i did quite well i think. I know i got the first question wrong cause i got confused between ordinates and intervals. It's always like that for the first few questions, i'd be somewhat blur. But as i progress through the paper i get better and better and faster and faster. Chemistry 4 was.. well, all subjective papers are tough. Went quite smoothly at first. Got stuck here and there, left out a few questions. When i reached the Applications part suddenly i heard the lecturer say, '25 more minutes'. I was like oh no, i'm too slow. Gotta speed up! Left 3 questions and some unanswered ones before! So i rushed through Section B without taking much time reading the questions and making wild guesses to the answers. Then i went back to the unanswered questions and made wild wild guesses. The first plausible answer is my answer. No time to think through. Then i was on my last question to completely finish the whole paper. It was one on buffer solution, calculations. I was thinking until i finally got the idea on how to do it then... you know. Times up! O.H.N.O! Well, i put my pen down in defeat and accepted my defeat... though i shouldn't have done that but frantically race to finish it.

Oh well, it has passed. Now i'm studying for my Physics 4 and 5 tomorrow... or should i say today since it's 12.00am. Yes, i'm studying right in front of the computer. Really haven't touched my Physics notes till tonight. Guess i'll have no time to finish studying. So, go i must into the examination without complete preparation. Also, there is Maths 4 Mechanics tomorrow... haven't touched my notes either. Bottom point, i'm DOOMED! Well, plan to finish browsing through my Physics notes then sleep... sleep, very, very important for students. It kind of like 'saves' the information you have learnt in to your 'computer' up in your head. Not sleeping is like your 'computer' shut down all of a sudden and you haven't saved your document... hmmm, my analogy is flawed since nowadays computers can retrieve that lost data. Oh well~

My advice to you, accompany study with sleep. So, goodnight everyone wherever you are. :)

Polystyrene

Went for a talk on polystyrene this afternoon after my Chemistry lecturer suggested it to us. Had to skip about a hour of Physics class though but it was worth it. The speaker was Douglas Tan from… err… some company called Eco--- Forgot the name of the company. Well, he gave a talk on the negative effects of the usage of polystyrene, usage of paper products which isn’t exactly that good either and the alternatives for polystyrene.
Polystyrene basically contains styrene, a benzene structure with an ethene group attached to it and traces benzene itself. It’s harmful as it is carcinogenic… in other words cancer-causing. We Malaysian often ‘da bao’ food from hawker stalls and want it hot. We use polystyrene packaging to keep our food because it keeps heat in. A great invention actually, cheap, sturdy and durable. However, storing hot food in these polystyrene box causes the organic compound polystyrene is made out from to enter our food much faster! So, we’re kind of eating benzene and styrene everytime we eat ‘da bao’ food. Polystyrene is not biodegradable. Some scientist say it takes 500 years to degrade but the actual fact is, no one actually knows! So, consider carefully before you decide to ‘da bao’.
Some people believe that using paper products.. or cardboard, as packaging is suitable in replacing polystyrene packaging. You know all those paper cups and plates you use in a party? They are actually plastic disguised as paper product!!! Seriously! Think of it, paper is porous. When you spill water on you homework, would the paper get wet? Strangely for some certain reason, paper cups can contain water! So how is it possible! Answer is, there is actually a thin plastic coating in the inner layer of the paper cup. So, it’s not very much paper after all. Also, manufacturing paper products uses a lot of water. 10 litres of water is required to make one 80gsm paper. Hey, that’s a lot. Furthermore, the white paper we use has undergone multiple washing processes and bleaching too with chlorine! So, it isn’t that environmentally friendly.
Among the alternatives for polystyrene are those polymers made out of natural materials such as sugar cane, rice husk and corn starch. Hmm… amazing how they make a cup with rice husk. It contains 99% rice husk and 1% sap… of something… that’s what he said. Well, Mr Tan’s company manufactures materials out of corn starch. He showed us how their ‘plastic’ spoon could be bended and twisted and still wouldn’t break. It even returns to its shape after bending it… although a little more flexible now. It’s now completely indestructible though. Of course, it breaks. It’s totally biodegradable. Oh, i forgot to mention, biodegradation isn’t that good also. Plastic bags like the one Jusco gives is said to biodegrade but what does it degrade into i ask? Smaller bits of plastic! Which is actually as dangerous as the plastic itself. Still, biodegrading natural materials are still much better compared to plastics and polystyrene although pollution can never be totally overcome.
Well, in conclusion, we should try not to use polystyrene. Reduce the usage of polystyrene. Use other more eco-friendly materials like the ones made out of sugar cane, rice husk and corn starch. 20 spoons and forks for only RM3.10. One polystyrene box may cost 5 cents and one ‘corn starch’ box may cost 20 cents, but in the long run, it’s totally worth it.

AS Level Results

Well, my AS (advanced subsidiary) level results are out today. For those who don’t know what it means, it’s my 1st half of A-Levels exams. The 2nd half is A2. Yes, my results… actually, i haven’t got a chance to log into the website to obtain my results. However, according to my lecturers i got straight A’s…. which basically means 3A’s for my case. Still, i would rather see it for myself. The lecturers kind of took away the excitement of finding out my results by my own. Ah well, what can be done. Unfortunately, in my class of 8 people only 3 got straight A’s… if i’m not mistaken. Some others… did not exactly do well… sigh… i kind of feel sad for them too…

Hmm… no mood for blogging these days… So, i’ll end here. I have yet to officially find out my results. Well, goodnight people. :)

Of exams… and randomness

Well, well, finally going to update my blog… though i do not know what to talk about… well, seems that my syllabus is going to be over soon which indicates exams are closing very very soon. Mock Exam starts on the 1st of September. Results of AS coming out next Thursday! *gasp* Oh.H.N.Oh What to do, what to do? Well, don’t panic that’s a start. I’m pretty sure i will get an A for Maths if not an A*. Chemistry and Physics… no so certain. I think i made a whole lot of mistakes. Ah well, i should concentrate on my A2 instead, why bother about the past… right?

dot.dot.dot.dash.dash.dash Don’t know what to say. Have no ideas lately. No ideas to blog about… perhaps some random stuff… but i have nothing random at this moment. Well, suddenly i just wonder where my friends have all scattered and what are they doing and how are they doing. Surely some are enjoying themselves, some… maybe may not be enjoying themselves. Oh well, hello, all you who are my friends out there. How’s post Form 5? Perhaps we’ll meet again, perhaps not… hmmmm…. i’m going poetical… ah well, maybe i should come up with some other random poem when i’ve got the time. Seems that time is not by my side. I have been loosing lots of time sleeping after college… you know, college is kind of tiring, 6 to 8 hours of studying, when i come home, i will get to my bed as soon as possible only waking up when dinner comes… which means i’d only sleep about an hour or so. Then if i’m really tired, i’d sleep some more at night after dinner… most of the time i’d over sleep and thus no homework will be done not mentioning about studying. Have not been studying much lately, therefore i will fail my exams. How do you find my reasoning? Haha~ perhaps one day i’ll also talk about Thinking Skills, a subject which i learn for A-Levels.. hmm… suddenly i have so much ideas to blog about. :P

Well, well, guess i’m going to stop here. All the best in your undertaking my fellow friends! :) Don’t forget to smile! :D

Memoirs #2

My blog is inactive lately. Don’t know what to blog about so i guess i’ll just blog about this picture. Well, that person in dark blue T-shirt there is my friend KS and the other is Alan. This picture was taken at school during our Civics project… and that’s the fish pond near the back gate. Hmm… let me try to recall. If i’m not mistaken, this is when we were supposed to do gardening as our Civics project. Well, just some memoirs…
Notice part of the Malaysia flag waving up there… hmm… feeling patriotic? Haha~ Well, somehow this picture seems unique. Catching people when they don’t notice me taking their phote is always interesting. :)

A random observation: Condensation

Midnight. As i wander the street in the car, i can’t help but notice some cars with condensation on their windscreen and others without. A strange phenomena worth pondering at. Perhaps these cars has recently been driven, where the inside was cold causing the condensation. Perhaps…

18th Birthday

Ah, feeling tired. Have stuff to blog about but just too lazy to blog. Looks like i’m not in the mood to blog these days.

Well, my birthday just passed. Lots of people wished me. Wow… i’m even amazed myself. Once again, thank you everybody! Well, my classmaties celebrated my birthday. Bought me a box of JCo doughnuts. Strangely there was one long candle and nine shorter ones… does that mean i’m 19? Haha~ Then we ate the doughnuts of course. There was also Vitagen for us to drink. :) That was basically my birthday party for this year. Nothing much happened later that day. Khai Sern wanted to wish me in person but didn’t have the chance cause my class ended late. Even Montri came all the way to Sunway wanting to celebrate my birthday. Haha~ well, thank you guys very much. Most unfortunate that i was busy that day. Had a talk on Engineering in the UK. Later that day, i had music practice for JAM (Jesus and Me) Session for Saturday corresponding to Youth Day at my church.

Hmm… got things to blog about but just can’t find the time and often not in the mood to do so. Well, perhaps next time… if i remember… hopefully i remember… haha~

Clouds so free!

Puffs of cloud high up above,
Floating aimlessly,
Oblivious of its surroundings,
So lazily it strolls across the sky,
With no worris whatsoever,
It has that carefree attitude,
Some of us could only wish we have.

College life in the 2nd semester

Ho, ho, ho, i've not been blogging lately. Seems that my plan isn't working as well as it should be. Well, sometimes i don't feel like blogging other times i just don't have anything to blog about. Lately i've been blogging lots on... err... my thoughts and some 'words of wisdom' i came up with. College is still pretty much empty. Did you read my poem i wrote about it? Haha~ I guess most of the courses are on holidays. Mine isn't unfortunately. Well, what do you expect from one who took the express class. We don't have much holidays at all! The exams are our holidays. Lol.

Hmm... i shall talk about this second semester. I find it really stressful, or at least the stakes seem to be higher. A2 is said to be much harder than AS with harder syllabus and harder papers. I'd finish about one and a half chapters a week but that doesn't seem to be quick enough. It's 10 weeks till my mock exams! Gosh, now you know how i feel?

I decided to take this 'express train' to test myself how good i actually am in my studies. Before this, i always feel that i'm actually not as good as i really am. Just believing in all the saying of others, i made myself believe that i was that good but my SPM results says otherwise. It works sometimes but not all the time.

Second semester is as though sitting in a bullet train. Last semester was just the conventional train. Much homework i have, much have i piled up on myself, much have i done, and much there is to go. Just can't seem to make them disappear.

Just recently i have realised that studying really is important. So i strive to study whenever i can. Then again, the homework and procrastination is preventing me from doing so. Sigh~

Restaurant City has become a part of my life. It's a game on Facebook. It's really addictive. That was the reason why i didn't want to get into it before this but my friends played an important role in influencing me into it. Eventually i succumbed to the influence. Worse still, that was during my AS exams. (gasp) Oh well, i've gone a long way since then and i've overtaken some of my friends on the scoreboard. ;D Care to join me in RC? :)

Well, to all of my friends out there on holiday, have a nice time with you study break. Don't rust over it and come back having forgotten all you have studied thus far. Also, to those who are having classes or perhaps exams, all the best in you studies, bet you all have much of a great time at college or school. :)

Alas, that is it for now. Goodbye and farewell. Meet again sometime soon. :) S.M.I.L.E smile! :) :D

Improving English

I guess i've found a new purpose for this blog. Not only do i blog about my life, but i shall use this blog as an opportunity to improve on my English language. I have to admit, my English... or rather my language isn't up to average standard... well, that's my opinion. So, i have to practice my English right here because i have no time to read all those books on the English language... Therefore, since i'm using this blog to improve my English, thou art whoeth stumbles into my blog, i ask thee of thy favour. Please give comments on my mistakes... unless they are intended mistakes... hmm... so what are intended mistakes? Well, for example, to 'Malaysianise' my writings or when i try to make it funny or all the 'emotions' expressed in words. So, i guess i ought to blog as frequently as possible.... ... ... sigh... now i can really feel the pressure of college. Gosh. What am i to do? Got to suck it up and stand up tall, think positive, be optimistic, and STOP WASTING MY TIME!!! (p.s. i'm saying to myself. :P)

Wednesday, 23 June 2010

Think positive... optimism!

If you perceive something as difficult,
It will trully be difficult for you to accomplish it.

The air is still...

I arrive at college,
The only person off the bus,
The roads are empty,
Nobody around,
I say to myself,
'Is today a national holiday?'

As i walk to the foyer,
It is noticeably empty,
Just a few people studying,
'Is it really a holiday today?'

Climbing up the stairs,
I notice MUFY's classrooms are dark,
Holiday perhaps.

Further up the stairs,
CIMP's area seems deserted,
Holidays too?

The A-Levels classrooms are in darkness too,
The hallway is dark,
The toilets are as well,
Everything seem quiet,
'A ghost college',
I thought as i walk the hallway,

I have an eerie feeling,
My heart pounds quicker,
As i stroll towards my classroom,
The lights of my classroom are on,
Who may be in there?
I push the door open in anticipation,
My heart pounds ever so quick,
Suspense.

Alas, i found the room to be empty,
Though i looked behind the door,
Checking for any ghosts that may be lurking,
A sigh of relief,
The air is still.

Dark day...

Gray is the sky today,
Deprived of its colour,
Not a single tinge of breeze,
The air is still,
It is so humid,
What a warm day it is.

Everything is dark and gloomy,
Like those days of impending doom,
A sense of misfortune,
'What will today be?',
I ask myself,
I am soon going to find out.

Exams… not studying

Perhaps i’ve been made prepared for exam that studying feels pointless… then again, i’ve not been doing well lately.

Thomas Cup 2010 Finals

As you all may know, China has won the Thomas Cup. China 3-0 Indonesia. Kinda like a lopsided victory don't you think? Well, the first match was... errr, what do you expect? Lin Dan kinda trashed his opponent. :P The first doubles, if only Indonesia won the first set, then maybe they had a chance. Well, they got a deuce. Close but not close enough. Pernally i think the most interesting match was the second singles between Simon Santoso and Chen Jin... at least for the first two sets. Well, the Indonesian player, Simon Santoso really played with such volour that he managed to defeat world no. 3 Chen Jin in the first set. He really has good skill in playing at the net and tricking his opponent in guessing his next move. Good job Simon Santoso. At least you did your very best!

Scholarship Award Ceremony

Well, well, this morning i had my Scholarship Award Ceremony at college. Nothing much, just got a certificate. Well, i got RM6000 tuition fee waiver. How unfortunate that only one person out of the many Seanarians got the full tuition fee waiver. That person is, Choong Jack Tung! (applause) Well, congrats Jack, you really, really did well for SPM.
Arrived around 8.45am for registration. Had a short chat with friend before the ceremony started at 10am. Then it was straight to certificate giving after a speech. It is said that there is 862 recipients for the Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah Continuing Scholarship and Entrance Scholarship. Wow… that’s a lot…. and a lot of tuition fee waiver too! Haha~
So, i was number 225. The line goes quite quickly. at 10.50am it was my turn. Then i had to wait till about 12 something for the whole event to end. Not allowed to go home… well, what do you expect from a formal function? At the end of all of it, there was a photograph taking session. Well, might as well be in the photograph since i waited till now. :) Then it was all over. :)
Oh, forgot to mention. There was a performance by err… somebody… Well, he played the saxophone. :) I’ve always admired the saxophone… not mentioning the piano too! Haha~ I want to learn some other instrument but i just don’t have a chance. (sigh) Well, guess i’ll have to wait till later. :) Ah yes, the performance. Well, as i said i like the saxophone so obviously i like saxophone music. :P Yes, it was mesmerising… err… well, my eyes and ears were focused on it. Listening to every note and observing the gestures of a saxophonist. Interesting. :) Haha~
Well, that’s it for now. :) Happy birthday to Li Ren and Su Qi. There are quite a whole lot of birthdays in May in my calendar. :)

Uber Cup 2010 Finals

The whole of Korea would be celebrating now as Korea has defeated China in the Uber Cup 2010 Finals. For many years China has defended the title and this is the first time Korea holds the Uber Cup. Seeing them play, i am amazed by their fighting spirit and their determination. Their aggressiveness so great they fight to the last score.

A glimmer of hope it seems as Korea won the first singles against China’s World No. 1. Amazing Korea won two sets in a row. Perhaps the Chinese player had an injury? Continuing on with the first doubles, Korea again defeated China in 3 sets. Hopes run high amongst the Korean team members. Alas, China got their first win against a young Korean player, 17 years of age. Still, she fought to the last match. The determinant, second doubles match… 1 more win for Korea and the Uber Cup is in their hands. It was a fight to the ‘death’. Both teams playing so passionately, concentrating on the shuttle. Not wanting to make any mistakes for it may spell disaster. You could see it in their faces, their determination. The joyous feeling of winning the point, the heartache of making a mistake. During the last set, you could see the anxiety mounting. The Korean’s feeling the pressure, their hands tremble. Yet, they try with all their might to conceal it. The Chinese, it seems almost like they have nerves of steel. They do not tremble under pressure. A smart move delaying the start of each serve… it’s not only a war of endurance… psychological war. Korea 20-19 China. The moment of truth. One point for China… it will be a battle of stamina and endurance… the first to falter loses. One point for Korea, hearts will fill with joy, an overwhelming joy, indescribable… relief. The shuttle hits the net… and as it slowly falls to the floor, it registers in the minds of the people… Korea has won.

Such a joyful victory for the Koreans. (applause) They fought for it, and they deserve it. For the first time, Korea won the Uber Cup. Everyone in Korea must have been watching and cheering for them. Jumping for joy when their national team won the cup. :) Haha~ imagine the whole of Korea celebrating… and the team too! :) Hope you enjoyed the seemingly dramatic story. :P Haha~ Cheers!

I'm getting bored!

It's my exams and i'm having holidays! Is it great or what? :P Haha~ ... ... ... aaaarghhh! I'm getting bored studying! Not like i'm studing 24/7 or anything. It's so boring! I think i'd rather do past-year questions right now than to study... unfortunately, i've finished about all the past-year questions i can get. (thanks to all the pressure from the lecturers) Sigh~ Rotting in the midst of exams... I think i should go to college to study... but then, i'd most probably procrastinate and wander aimlessly in college till i get bored and decide to take the bus home. Sigh~ I am lost... and most probably doomed for not studying. However, i've been doing quite averagely in my exams despite the fact that i laze around a whole lot and do about 3 hours of studying (max. during exams time)... ... ... i am totally lost and do not know what to do. Get bored studying? Get bored doing nothing? Please advise!

Thomas Cup 2010 Semifinals

Well, well, latest update: Malaysia lost in semifinals for Thomas Cup 2010. China 3-0 Malaysia. Hmm... perhaps it's not wise to blame anyone. The Chinese team really is super good. Malaysian team is fairly good but not good enough to beat China. Well, we need new players. Some are getting old... I think that Malaysia is loosing the fighting spirit. What happened to all the exciting continuous smashes? China was so aggressive. They must really, really want to win... or they're just too good at it. :P Well, i don't want to support China cause they're kinda strong. I think i'll support Indonesia in the finals. Well, somebody has got to bring them down eventually, right? Haha~

Buses...

Well, hello. Exams are here.... for me at least. It's my 'holidays' aka exams. A month in all and the wierd thing is, i'm going to have my graduation dinner right after it! Haha, graduating before i actually graduate.

It seems that Sunway Pyramid is so convenient. Just a 15 minute walk away. My friends and i often go there during our free time... although most of the time we get stranded and lost not knowing what to do or where to eat. :P Eventually we play scissors, paper, stone to decide. Haha~

Have any of you ever taken the public bus? Don't you think that the public bus is somewhat not punctual? I really, really hate it when i have to wait for the bus not knowing when it will come. There is no equal intervals between bus arrivals at the bus stop. So unreliable. Hey, you know, i pay RM2 for a bus ticket which costs RM1.90.... that's a profit of about 10 cents from each passenger. Let's say there are about 15 passengers per ride, every hour for about 15 hours... hmmm... that's about RM25 profit per day. Wow... ingenious... Thing is, they don't have change. Just stating a fact which you may come across in life. :)

Once i wondered what i was good at but now it doesn't seem to matter. Just live life to the fullest!

Sleeping in the bus…

Have you ever slept in a bus? Or perhaps in a train? Sleeping without knowing when the bus will stop and a chance that you may miss the bus stop. Well, i take my college bus almost every weekday. Going there and coming back. I usually sleep in the bus on the way home. You know, after a tiring typical 9 hour day at college. Hmm… whenever the bus stops i wake up and sometimes think that i have reached my stop. Once i woke up and immediately got up and was about to leave the bus until i realise, "Oh, wrong bus stop." Well, today i was sleeping as usual until suddenly i thought i heard somebody say, "Isn’t that guy suppose to get down here?" So i immediately woke up, got up, when to the door, seeing the bus driver smiling at me i said, "Sorry, bang." Went out the bus and realised that i got off at the wrong stop. =.=' Well, it would be kind of humiliating going back into the bus but oh well, i decided to walk. Besides it’s just one buss stop before the bus stop i was supposed to get off. Well, that was my awkward day.
Oh, a cool thing i saw today, a cloud with a silver-lining. Don’t see that too often. :)

Exams are coming

Well, haven't blogged for a long time. Gonna blog a short blog today. :) Hmm... updates. My 'holidays'start' next week. Haha~ Actually it's my AS exams. :P So it's kind of like my holidays for a month. :) Hmm... i wonder how's everybody else. Turns out that Sunway has, i think, the most Seanarians. Well, always meet a familiar face every single day. :)

Ah well, don't know what else to say. You know, sometimes you're so busy you don't feel like blogging. Well, guess i'll end here. All the best to all taking exams out there and to all having holidays, enjoy your hols. :) Time for destressing. :D

Jinx...

Still lazy to blog~ Well, since i've much time now before my Maths paper starts..... oh well.

Three days ago... on Tuesday, after Monday, i was supposed to have Malaysian Studies class... there was supposed to be a test. Well, guess what, i came all the way to college and just when i entered the auditorium, someone came to put the notice up stating that Malaysian Studies is cancelled! Gosh! Dejavu! My friend said, 'Maybe you're a jinx'. Ah~ All the petrol wasted and the pollutants added into the air and more global warming. Well, i shouldn't have gone to college in the first place. Who would go to college anyway if he had a holiday and had only one class  which is about an hour and a half in the afternoon which can actually be skipped as long as we get 80% attendance... well, only thing i hat about it is the time wasted and the pollution caused. (well, the wasted time is actually sleeping time :P)

So, i am now waiting for Maths paper to start... in about an hour. This morning i had Chemistry paper 1 and Physics paper 2. Chem was... err... first 30 questions was miraculously easy (maybe it's because it was mostly past-year questions) but the last 10 was hard! Guess it's because i didn't study much of Physical and Inorganic Chem. Physics was... i have to admit, tough.... although i did manage to finish the paper. Gosh, i almost missed the last question! I only had 3 minutes to spare! Ah well, it's on radioactivity so it should be okay... not sure whether i'm right though. Couldn't think properly cause i had to rush to finish in 3 minutes. :P

Okayz, what am i doing here? Shouldn't i be studying? Well, the thing is, i forgot to bring my notes. :P Haha~ so no studying for me. :) (i see my classmates studying from afar...)

Well, enough blogging for now... though i have nothing else to do now... maybe bug my friends? Haha~

“Holidays”

Hmm…. perhaps i’d blog a little today. Don’t know why but i’m now lazy to blog… haha, must be all the work and exams coming. Well, i was supposed to have a Physics class today despite it being my' inverted commas ‘holidays’. However, the lecturer last minute cancelled it! Gosh~ He told my friend who told me who so happen just boarded the bus to college 5 minutes ago. Well, i went to college today, doing nothing. One of my Physics classmate was there too… stranded. Oh well, i stayed at college with him for a while then i left for Sunway Pyramid to take the public bus home. Oh the best thing about all this is…. i forgot to bring my wallet. +.+ Haha~ So i actually wouldn’t be able to get home early but i managed to borrow some money from Alan. Haha~ Looks like no shopping. :P Well, that’s about it, my day today. :)

School begins once again

School has begun,
I can tell from the multitudes of children,
The noises from school,
The volume of cars on the road,
The sounds of bus engines roaring,

Cars signal,
Swerving in and out,
Parents drop their children,
For another day at school.

I see columns of pupils heading for school,
Like the ever so diligent ants,
As teachers watch their coming.

This is a sign that the holidays are over,
Everyone back to work,
Pick up your books and start studying!

In college during the school hols...

Well, a day at college during the school holidays... that's a first so far. Ah well, guess all the school children are enjoying their time right now. At least for today i too have some free time. My lecturer i sick... i heard it's also viral gastrointestinal infection... hmmm.... must be the cafeteria food. So, 4 hours of free time... that's what i'm doing here right now. Nothing to do, just waiting for the bus gang... T-gang... and waiting for the bus to arrive.

I notice CF camp starts today. Gosh... i'd go if i weren't in college yet. Well, hope those guys will have a good time at Peacehaven. Hmm.... long time no meet those people from my old school.

... hmm... okay... i guess nothing much went on today... everyone in my class seems to be getting sick. Hmm... hmm... don't know what to write. Oh well, i shall stop then.

Reminder: SMILE :)

SPM results and college

Okayz, back to blogging. I shall officially start blogging again for this year… that is if i have the time. Time to let all the truth out, for all those of you who don’t know, i’ve started college. Yes, since January. Some of you wouldn’t know cause i’ve kept it a secret, well there would be a chance that i would get kicked out of my course if my SPM results weren’t good enough… anyway, thank God it’s good enough… should i really be thankful? I mean, yes, thanks for the A’s but then i’d be stuck in A Levels Express class for an agonising year of non-stop studying cause 2 years of studying has been compacted to 1 year only! Gasp! Golly!

So yeah, i’ve started college. A-Levels Express, Sunway University College. Graduating from A-Levels by the end of this year (if i make it) and off to the ‘real’ college next year. Gosh, i have to admit, A-Levels was okay at first but it is getting tougher as the pace gets quicker and all those facts are being stuffed into my brain like nobodies business. So much ‘food’ to digest in so little time. Ah well, i pray that God will guide me through.

Okay, to my SPM results. As all the Form 5’s know, SPM results were released on the 11th of March 2010, Thursday. And how unfortunate for me i got super ill that morning, diorhoea and vomiting. I’d be sad if i couldn’t personally get my results… and all my friends were asking me where am i. Gosh… so my mom came all the way back from collecting her school’s SPM results to take me to a doctor. Doctor says i had ‘viral gastrointestinal infection’… don’t know quite what that means… guess it’s some infection by some darn virus. Let’s see, suspects, a tuna sandwich, yogurt and a cookie… hmm… wonder which is the prime suspect. Haha~ Anywayz, after eating some medicine, my mom left for school. I decided to try to walk to school cause i felt somewhat better. Tool a taxi from KJ LRT station to school… cost me RM5! Well, i didn’t feel like walking as it could make me worse. Alas, i managed to end up at school. Though still sick i got my results. 10 A’s and 1 D for Bible Knowledge. Not such a good testimony eh. I thought i could get a B if not a C for it. Ah well~ (you know, my dad said something about *ahem* you know *people* being R@c1St so they purposely raised the standard for BK and Chinese so to discourage us from taking… that’s why they even limit out papers to 10!) Okayz back to my results: 3A+ 6A 1A- and 1D. A+ for Add. Maths (really not worth it cause there’s no standard), Mathematics and Chemistry (somehow… supposedly my worse science subject). A- for Moral and you know the D.

Hmm… since i officially declared that i started college, guess you’d be seeing more blogs on my college life. :) Well, that’s it for now. Tata~

We are plastics?

My Physics teacher taught me about polymers. Polymer is formed from a monomer. Among the synthetic polymers are polythene and nylon. There are also natural polymers such as rubber and wool. Polymers have special qualities. They are stong and cheap to produce... well, they 'were' cheap to produce when petroleum was cheap. Then he showed me how strong a plastic is. He took a chair and threw it to the ground. It didn't break. then he said, 'Humans are also polymers.' I though to myself, 'So then, are we plastics?'

Strayed

Wading through waters,
I find myself stuck deep within,
The marsh is no place i ought to be,
Yet i wander here,
Strayed off the path,
Tempted by the shadows.

I find myself here,
Stuck in the mud,
I am lost,
I ask myself,'What am i doing here?'
Yet no one replied,
Just the whispers of the wind,
And the buzzing of insects,
Everything is silent.

I yearn for a way out,
But i'm stuck,
And lost,
All hope seems so far away,
So what am i to do?,
Nothing,
This is my ordeal i ought to face.

The Sun

The East it rises,
Its radiant beauty shines,
Its rays of hope herald new day,
Its presence so significant,
It dominates the sky,
It dwarfs the Jewel of the Night as it rise.

Soon at zenith its prominence shows,
Bright is its face,
Warm is its radiance,

Sometimes too hot it shines,
As though mocking those who stroll,
Yet it lights the path before us,
Without its presence,
Blind are we.

The West it ends,
Fading off the horizon,
As if playing hide and seek,
Till the next day dawns,
There it dwells.

The last glimmer of its radiance shines,
A performance it gives,
Before bidding farewell,
It lights the sky with the last of its rays,
An eerie red afar,
So dramatic it seems,
For dusk bids farewell,
To the Sun of ages.

200th!

Hello! Below was my 200th blog entry! Haha~ Finally reached 200. :) Nothing to be proud of though, just decided to keep track of how many entries i have. By the way, i won't be blogging much about my life... well, not now... i guess till my SPM results are out. :P Haha~ So instead i've decided to write... err... poems? Random~ Well, i'll just write lots of random poems (though not of good quility) based on... err... random stuff. Hopefully i'll find time to do these random stuff. :P Haha~

Painful trials

Pain,
It bothers me so much,
In my heart bitterness lie,
Like a feeling of death nearby.

It kills me slowly,
Like a dagger inching towards my soul,
Intimidates my very being,
Mocking whats left of me.

Yet loneliness percedes,
All alone I bear much pain,
So it shall be me,
I face my trials.

Dead blog!

Hmm.... i notice that my blog is really dead... and i think it's going to be dead for quite some time... maybe a year... hmm... Well, updates. Had caroling, celebrated Christmas at church, year of '04 gathering, went for Youth Retreat, drank my first Starbucks on New Year's Day. It's a new year... hmmm... don't know why but i feel like i can't wait for my SPM results... oh well~
