Driving test

Well, well, i was supposed to blog this yesterday. Just couldn’t find the time. Haha~

Woke up early in the morning to prepare for driving test. Not to say i could sleep well… at least i slept. I was very nervous in the morning, waiting for my instructor to come pick me up. It was 8.30 a.m. and he still wasn’t here. Got a sms from Joseph early that morning. He said that he was there already. Haha~ looks like he got the first session. Well, i wished him all the best and hope that i’ll meet him there. 8.50 a.m. My instructor arrived. My nervousness was gone with all that waiting. I was the only one in the car. When i saw the car i said, ‘Wow, so big?’ It was an Unser. Usually he drives a Kancil. Well, i thought he would send me straight to SDC but no, he went to pick up another 6 people from one end of PJ to the other. Oh my~ it was like one and a half hours on the road. From my place to DU to TTDI to BU to PJU then to SDC. My, my… that long wait really tire me out… even though i wasn’t doing anything.

Finally reached SDC and i saw Joseph just about to go on the road for the second part of the test. Hmm… if i’m not mistaken he’s tester was a woman… well, i wished him all the best in my heart. Haha~ He was like so concentrated on the road in front of him. I wonder whether he saw me walked across the road in front of his car. Well, off he goes. And here i come to take the test.

Registered first at the counter. While waiting in line, i saw Joseph arrive back. Well, at least he was still sitting in the driver’s sit, which means he didn’t fail. Wondered whether he passed. Took notice of his car number: 6. Hmm… Later i met him in line. He was going off. He saw me. Haha~ Later he would help me lots by giving me some tips. :P

Later i waited for my turn for the first part of the test. Slope, parking and 3-point turn. Now i was really nervous… afraid that that i got some lousy car and i didn’t know how to drive it. You know, i’m already used to my instructor’s car. Well, in the end i got a red Kancil…. the old version. Gosh, the accelerator was a little ‘cacat’ and there was no RPM meter! I was counting on it to go over the slope. Oh well, gotta improvise. Used my ears instead. Got up the slope, stopped on the line, put my hand up. Then the JPJ officer asked me to put on the safety belt. I was like, ‘Huh? Need meh??’ Well, during my lessons at SDC, my instructor asked me to take off my safety belt. Oh well, at least i didn’t fail there. Cleared the slope and on to the parking. I was a little to the right when i started. I was afraid i wouldn’t be able to park fully inside the box. In the end, i managed to. Lucky me. Then i went on to 3-point turn. Did it swiftly and finished it well. Great, i passed the first test.

After that, i waited for my turn for the second test. How unfortunate i was when they stopped at number 32 and went for their lunch break. Haiz~ i was number 35. After lunch, i came back and waited. Not long after, i was called. Oh~ i got the number 6 car too! Haha~ Err… oh no, a woman tester. (No, i’m not a sexist) I heard that the women testers were strict and failed many people. Well, just my luck. Said, ‘Selamat petang’ and started off. A bumpy start at first. Gotta get used to the clutch first. Okay, my first blunder, i mati enjin at the first traffic light. ‘Oh gosh! I’ve failed!’ i thought to myself. The tester quickly pulled the hand break for me. Well, i was pressing the foot break anyway. Then… a short pause. ‘Okay, no word. Guess i’ll just continue on’. Then i restarted the engine and went off. Even made it pass the traffic light before it turned red. I was lucky not to fail there. Thank God. My second mistake, i was driving too left and she said, ‘Nak langgar tepi ke?’ Aik, my mistake. Silently said sorry. My third error, i stopped on in yellow box. Guess i was too nervous. Didn’t even realise there was a yellow box there. She said, ‘Kotak kuning boleh berhenti ke?’ Aik, my bad. Then i prayed that i would pass despite the mistakes. And i did! Haha~ Even said ‘Terima kasih’ before i left.

Well, that was a relief. At least i wouldn’t need to retake the test. Thank God once again. Finally gonna get my driver’s license after all the barriers. Long lectures, failed my Undang once, the early driving lessons, post-poning the test once. Haiz~ i actually really feel so geram and i actually hated driving… well, there’s other reasons. I thought about having it after SPM but… err… don’t need to know the details. :P Haha~

After the driving test… well, going home right? Yeah, i knew that i should have taken the LRT instead. But no, i did not! Well, followed my instructor who picked up some people from the computer test centre and fetched 6 people home before me. Went from SDC to Subang to PJU to BU to Mutiara Damansara to BU then home. Two long hours on the road. Haiz~ should have jumped out of the car when he passed KJ LRT station. Total time out since i left my house… 8 hours. Gosh, so tiring. Came back home and went to bed immediately. Had a headache due to the weather and smokers. Ah well, at least it’s all over now. :)

Yay, gonna get my license next Monday. :D
