Physics Olympiad

Oh, what a day~ Hmmm… don’t know what was wrong with me in the morning. A little down and moody. No idea what caused it… hmm… maybe i do know what caused it but better not want to come to any conclusions. :) A bad start to the day… furthermore a sudden BM test. Felt so discouraged when i did it so slowly. Not myself at all! Luckily, Riley was there to cheer me up. :) Haha, guess you wouldn’t know who is Riley (try guessing). :P Then it was a supposedly early recess cause i’m taking the Physics Olympiad. Unfortunately, i got called by teacher. Suddenly i became busy. Haiz~ Went all the way to the teacher’s room, came all the way back, had to arrange some files, got to find who was the seemingly missing person in class, then had to go all the way back to the teacher’s room, then got an extra task by teacher. Haiz~ failed to do the extra task but i asked somebody to help me do it. Oh, i wanna thank Tho Hong for helping me arrange those files. :) In the end i was late for the Physics Olympiad… err… about 5 minutes late i think. I was panting a little and sweating too! Kinda hard to concentrate… I’m so unfortunate~
The quiz was indisputably hard! Super tough! Challenging! Super duper lot of questions too! 70 Q’s in two and a half hours! Well, i had a slow start at first but later on i speeded up a lot. It’s like i increased in ‘velocity’, ‘acceleration’. Haha~ Guess the more pressured i am, the better i think. My Chemistry teacher said last year that, ‘Boys tend to do better when pressured’. Maybe it’s true after all. :) When i did the paper, all the formulas and law's that i once learnt was totally shut off, locked somewhere in my head where i couldn’t find it! In the end, i had to rely on my logical thinking and tembak’ing skills. :) It’s like i used about 80% of my right brain and 20 % of my left brain. Haha~ I was like not even sure of any of my answers at all! Well, i prayed to God in the middle of all that, that i may at least finish the paper though i may have done a whole lot of mistakes. I keep telling myself, ‘Half way more! Must do faster!, ‘Aiya, spend so much time on this already still can’t get an answer. Just tembak lah’, ‘Must finish the paper even if i have no choice but to tembak all!’. People started to leave so early. I was even more pressured then. I was like the last two who were there in the Physics lab. I finished just on time. Really thank God. Then i realise Riley was with me in my pocket too! :) Overall, it was so tough that i said, ‘Thank God SPM is easier than this.’ Haha~
Hmm… just when i came back to class i had to go out again for the matriculation briefing. It’s like i was out the whole day. Well, isn’t that a good thing? Well maybe, that is if there weren’t any homework! Haha~ Came back for the last period for Add. Maths. Oh, before i went out for the briefing, i entrusted Tho Hong to jaga Riley. When i came back… it was like… (censored)… what have you guys been doing to RILEY!!! He’s so soft now! Have you been pulling him a lot! Who did it!!! Someone even made Riley dirty!!! Oi! What’s with you guys!!! You’d better find a way to fix Riley… you almost murdered him!!! I hope i can fix Riley~
(sigh) Well, that was my day at school today. Another hectic day… Nonetheless, gotta enjoy myself or another day will go to waste with all the moodiness. Got myself an ice-cream! :P Haha> :)

Knowledge is power… i’ve not mastered the knowledge yet… so guess i’m not eligible of wielding power. :)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Hi everyone! Well, a little delayed post cause i’ve not been online for about 2 days. :)
Well, have you guys watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince?

Haha, so happen i got free tickets from KDU so i went to GSC 1 Utama to watch it on Thursday. I had to rush to get to 1U by 2 p.m. School ands at 1.05 p.m. So, here’s my story of my journey to 1U.
Started of from school at 1.05 p.m. Rushed all the way home… i walked by the way, and took the LRT from Taman Bahagia to KJ. Reached home at 1.30 p.m. Took a bathe and changed. Left my house at 1.40 p.m. (wow, so fast? Yes, can’t believe it myself either) Walked to the taxi stand at KJ LRT station. Took a taxi to 1U. Oh, by the way, actually i don’t know how to take a taxi. :P So happen there was somebody there at the same time taking a taxi so i observed what she did and i did the same. I opened the back passenger door of the taxi and asked the taxi driver, ‘Ke 1 Utama boleh?’ Haha, then i got in the cab and proceeded to 1U. Guess that’s the first time i took a cab by myself. :) On the way, i say the RapidKL bus to 1U. Darn, looks like i missed it by a couple of minutes. Anyway, the taxi was much faster. Reached 1U at 1.50 p.m. Still on time. Haha, i wonder how i got to school, back home, took a bathe, and arrive at 1U under an hour. :)
A little excited getting free tickets. There were other people from Taman SEA there too. Let me recall, Elyssia, Chiau Hui, Megan, Rachel, Melody, Sureen, Yu Ming, 2 other girls and another boy. Sorry that i don’t know you guys. :P Before the movie, i went to eat my lunch. Elyssia and Chiau Hui followed me. Then, a little pool. Though it was a little waste cause we couldn’t finish the game. We then proceeded into the theater. It seems that KDU booked one of the theaters so the whole theater was filled with students. You know, before the movie started there’s those ads right? Haha, suddenly the KDU ad was on the movie screen. :P Seems desperate to promote their college by giving us free tickets. :) Then i was sit back, relax and enjoy the movie. Oh yeah, there were popcorns too! Long time no eat. :P I had one small sized popcorn box for myself. :)
The movie actually started at 3 p.m. but had to be there earlier to collect the tickets. The movie ended at 5.30 p.m. Two and a half hours. After the movie, i went on my own. Walked around 1U by myself carrying my bag. Haha, after much deliberation, i finally had the courage to step into a gift shop and buy something cute for myself. Before, i was like afraid of buying stuff from a gift shop. Too many girls. Won’t it be weird if a guy bought something cute for himself?? Haha, anyway, i finally got the cute, squishy thing i wanted. :)
Well, that was my Thursday. So fun and exciting rushing to 1U. New experience taking a cab. Got to watch Harry Potter. Haha, not so good with movie reviews but i’d say it was funny and there was lots of love scenes. So tired at the end of the day. What an adventure. :)

Memoirs #1

Hello! How’s your day? :) Well, just some random blogging… haha~

Well, as you can see, there is a picture here… guess what it is?? You won’t or might not believe it but it is actually a toilet. Haha, don’t believe me? Have you been to Thailand? You know, the toilets there are EXTREMELY clean. Not the indoor toilets in the hotel, the outdoor public toilets. Haha~ compared to Malaysia. :P If Malaysia is 1 star, i’d rate Thailand toilets 7 stars. :) Really, super duper clean. By the way, i took this picture when i went to Thailand last year.

Taylor’s Science Competition

Oh my goodness~ the blog entry i just wrote just disappeared! Some error occurred. Gotta write it again~(sigh)
Anyway, it' starts like this: Hello… haha, just felt like laughing……… then there’s a long long long long talk. Let me try to remember. I was very tired yesterday. Came home after school, meetings and mamak. Was about to bathe but fell asleep on my bed. :P Sooo very tired. Couldn’t concentrate on studying at night. (ahh! why must all my hardwork disappear all of a sudden… erm, anywayz…) Had to study (note the had). Got a competition the next day, Taylor’s Science Competition to be exact. A brief account: woke up early, went to Taylor’s College, did the competition (MCQ and practical), tea in between (so it was called there), lunch, moment of truth, the results (duh~), byebyefarewellgohome. 3rd place was Hin Hwa (some private school), 2nd place was Bintang Utara (if’ i’m not mistaken… or maybe Utama), 1st place was SMK Seafield. At least there’s the word ‘SEA’ there. :P (why?why?why must it disappear?… FYI, i’m using a new program to type this blog entry) Wanna know more? Gotta ask me. Haha~

Okay, next was… everybody seems to have FFK’ed Bon Odori. Alan, supposedly my transport there, decided to go watch MU vs Our countries football team. MU vs our country??? Well, it’s just… you know… if you get it then good, can’t say it out loud. :P So~ was planning to go Bon Odori but can’t anymore. Bon Odori last year was fun! Had a great though lonely time there last year. Got to dance. Haha~ (i’m sooo wasting my time doing this entry again~) Anyway… i think that’s all… though it’s supposed to be longer. Well, here’s a random picture i took from last year’s Bon Odori. :)

Thank you for the wishes~

Well, it's my birthday today! Quite an exciting or rather say different and interesting day today... Oh no! I forgot who was the first to wish me 'Happie Burfday'... well, sorry if i didn't take notice but there were lots of birthday wishes this year, miraculously. Very interesting... actually, i didn't want my birthday to be known by the whole world but my 'good' friends came to my class and shouted aloud, 'Happie Burfday Joel!'. Gosh, there goes, now everyone knows my birthday. Then many more wishes came. Jennifer and Xin Wei even came and sang the birthday song for me. At first i was shocked as it was illegal to sing it at school (due to some circumstances) but thank you, i really appreciate it. :) Hmm... okay, let me count the number of birthday wishes.................. 23 i think. :) Well, thank you all for the wishes. Oh, some even gave me presents. Ming Soon gave me a marker pen, Shu Ning gave me something (dunno, haven't opened yet), Geber gave me two little midget bananas and Khai Sern gave me some cempedak kuih. Haha~ looks like most of them are food stuff. Still, i like bananas and that cempedak kuih was quite nice, though i didn't know what it was at first. :P So thank you once again.
Later, i was held back after school for a while so i missed my bus. Anyway, i was planning to walk back cause i've got some stuff to get at the book store. There i saw something unbelievable, it was a 5x5 cube for only RM25.90! Oh my, oh my, oh my goodness! It's so very, very, extraordinarily, superbly, unbelievably cheap! Though not sure of its quality as it is ciplak. :P
Alright, now how will my day be? Still got about 8 and a half hours left. Actually, i'm not officially 17 yet till 11.15p.m.... Haha~

Of undang test and a new car...

Well, i took my undang driving test today. Guess what, i failed... really, i F.A.I.L.E.D. I got 40/50, just 2 marks short of the passing mark of 42/50. Haha... yes, i can laugh about it. :) Not to say i'm sad or anything, just that my parents are gonna nag at me for not studying enough. I admit, i didn't study seriously. Just read through once and read through another time briefly. At least i went in there and prayed to God to guide me and trust in him in whatever results i would get. Guess this is a lesson that i should take studying more seriously before sitting for any test or exam. Anyway, despite my failure, i thank God for his guidance and comfort. :)
The car... yes, my brother now has a car for himself. It's a Proton Saga, the new model. Not bad. Very spacious. Interior is okay. Safety is good. Only thing i don't like is the cylindrical lock and the alarm system. It's so difficult to open the lock... okay not so but still a little tough. There's like no grip! The alarm system uses the horn, which has a very high-pitched sound. Very irritating. Other than that it's quite good.

175th blog entry!

Haha, this is my 175th blog entry. Gotta keep a reminder to myself cause i have to painstakingly count one by one. By the way, it's July! My birthday is coming soon! Haha~ Keep on smiling those of you out there. :)

RKA Day and blood donation drive...

Hello, today was RKA day where parents meet teachers for their child's report card. Well, i feel happier today. I walked to school! This means i was extra early today. :) Did i say that i do not like my bus? Always late or reach school right when the bell is going to ring. Hate it when i have to pay for collecting the buku ponteng late. However, despite the fact that i came to school early, i did not collect the buku ponteng. :P Haha, didn't know whether i need to collect it or not. It's RKA, why must i collect it. Anyway, i had to pay RM2 for not collecting the buku ponteng. At least i didn't feel sad or anything parting with my money cause it was my fault after all.
Haha, i now know my position in class. I was really unhappy that my Moral marks was wrong! I was supposed to get 55% not 65%! Then my position was not valid. I 'kononnya' got 5th place when i actually got 7th. (sigh) Well, don't know what can be done~ Anyway, time for analysis... 1st was Mei Yi (expected, really smart and hardworking), 2nd was Shu Ning (smart too, but it's kind of hidden), 3rd was Shi Min (another smart one, aiya, everyone in my class is smart lah). 4th was Sasvin (always studying, surely, hard work paid of), 5th was Pei Ning, (not in the 'official list' but it is supposed to be her not me... anyway, she is smart too!), 6th was Saranya (a new competitor... not bad, hidden smartness), 7th was me!, 8th was Renesh (too smart to be true but don't know why he got 8th...), 9th was Sharon (hmm... not sure what to say, don't know her that well) and finally 10th was Ming Soon (congrats to you! you did a great job getting in to the top 10! congrats, congrats :D). So that's about it for today's RKA. There was a blood donation drive too but i didn't participate. Would be interesting though...
Next, National Service... haha, it seems that everyone knows whether they got accepted or not by sms or through the official website. It was all about 'Tahniah' or 'Maaf'. Haha~ I just recently checked mine... if you want to know whether i got accepted or not you'll just have to ask me. :p Okay, that's it for now.
