Fear

Fear,
It overwhelms me,
It is the essence of my worries,
It is the shadow that trails me,
A shadow that refuses to leave me,
It is gaining on me.

For many years it has followed,
For many times it has killed my feelings,
For many times it breaks me,
For many times it drives me to insanity,
What oh what can i do?

My heart shed tears,
Who can fathom me?
I scream in silence,
Who can hear me?
I suffer alone,
Who can comfort me?
I count the days,
When will it end?

I have taken the responsibility,
I can never turn away,
I stand for my principles,
I just can't let go,
To the people i must abandon,
To gain the freedom I yearn.

Faith have I,
Hope have I,
Trust have I,
To You I pray,
May You guide me,
And lead me out of this shackles,
And embrace me in Your arms,
May your will be done.
