A trip to China... a language I cannot speak!

Heh, heh, heh...... just came back from China yesterday..... well actually today... early morning. Went to China for about a week. Since 23rd of November till yesterday 30th November. I kind of like the trip there. At least I got to fill the whole of November with activities. Painting, tuitions, SPBT stuff, a meeting and this trip to China.Well, I went to Kunming, China in the Yunan Province. Not only Kunming but Dali and Li Jiang. Well, those are the main cities that i went to. The others I dunno the names.

Let me make this story brief:

Took an aeroplane to China. Transit at Bangkok.  Woke up very early. I think at 4a.m. Check in at KLIA but couldn't get the plane tickets to China. Only to Bangkok. The tour company didn't give the visas. Took an hour and 45 minutes to Bangkok. Got the visas at Bangkok. Met the group from Penang. Transit to Kunming. An hour and 45 minutes to reach Kunming. Reach Kunming in the afternoon. Started tour.

Actually I can't remember the places I went to. Anyway, let me talk about the group. It is mainly consisted of school teachers. My family is the only one from KL. The others from Penang and some from Terrengganu. I am the youngest in the group. Everybody else were adults. Ok... now I shall try to remember where I went.

I went to some mountain I don't know the name. Got some statues of different kinds of Chinese God's. Then there was the Stone Forest. A World Heritage Site. All the single rocks out of no where. Caused by plate tectonic. Went to some canyon and caves. Got waterfalls, stalagmite and stalactites, some natural pool that I don't know how to explain (water go go from pool to pool, from a higher level to a lower level) and a huge hall inside the cave. Obviously that cave is smaller than Mulu caves. Then I also went was a crystal factory, jade bazaar, flower market, silk factory, Dali old town, Li Jiang new old town, and Li Jiang old town. There was also Snow Mountain in Li Jiang. First time I see real snow. I saw snow in Genting but that was fake. Too bad i've never seen snow falling from the sky. The Li Jiang old town was huge, gigantic, enormous. Such a large place it would take almost a whole day to explore it. Of course i didn't spent a whole day just 5 hours. Thing there were cheap. I got to get 26 handphone key chains for 10 yuan. By the way, their currency is RMB (Renmin something, I don't know). Locals call it Yuan for dollar. I got to go to the largest toilet in China. i was in the jade bazaar. FYI, public toilets in China do not have doors. I also stayed in a hotel where there was a hot spring. Got to use the hot spring water to bathe. Well, I guess that's all I can remember.

On the 30th, we had a few activities before we went back to Malaysia. The flight was at 3p.m. Flew to Bangkok. Got a flight at 8p.m. to KL. Reached KL past 11p.m. Waited for taxi for almost an hour. Drove back home for almost an hour. Reached back at I dunno what time. All I know is that it was certainly past midnight. Ok, think that all for this blog.Smile

By the way, in Bangkok I got to meet a group of Malaysian badminton players at the airport. They were heading back to KL. Same plane as the one i'm taking. One of them was Hafiz Hashim my sister said. The rest I dunno cause I don't exactly recognize badminton players though I watch badminton. My brother said most of them were juniors. Dunno where they came from. My brother thinks they were from the Phillipines. There is a badminton tournament there. Guess they lost.
