A learning experience

Hmm...... yesterday I got to learn how to fly a kite. It was fun. I liked it. If there was ever another chance for me to go, I would. Today, I obtained a new skill, making ketupat with coconut leaves! It was quite interesting to learn it in school. Today we were seperated into three groups, one doing napkin folding, one doing the Indian 'kolam' and last but not least the ketupat making. It frustrating at first because I couldn't get it. But then I got it and managed to accomplish making a ketupat! I was glad I did it. Then I started making another one and another one. In the end I made five full-sized ketupat and one mini version of it. Unforetunately, I didn't know what to do with all of those so I left it in school. Wonder what would happen to it tomorrow............

Trip to Tanjung Sepat: Part 2

After lunch, we were off to the fishball factory once again. On the way, we made a detour to a shop that was famous for its pow's. There, we bought some pow's. It was not bad. Quite nice. At the fishball factory, we got to see how fishballs were made. Then, some people bought fishballs. It was obviously cheaper in the factory than in the market.

Later, we went to a beachSmile! YayOpen-mouthed! This is my favourite part of this trip. We all were given one nilon kite each. Then, we assemble it and tie a roll of string onto it and then time to go fly the kite! Arghh....... got many trails end errors trying to fly the kiteDisappointed. First the sticks in the kite keep on coming out. Then I lost one of the sticks. (Foretunately there was an abandoned kite which doesn't seem to be owned by anyone so.......... you should know what I did)Tongue out. Then my kite was somewhat deformed so it kept on spinning. Therefore I had to redo the kite in a new way so that the kite was at least symmetrical so that the wind can blow evenly on the surface of the kite. Later my kite flew into the sea and got wet. The string also was wet. Then it was grounded and all the sand got stuck on it. Finally I got it flying. It was quite high. I was amazed. Though I have tried flying kite once I never got it up and flying before. (Actually, it was because I did it in a playground). Then, my kite got stuck in the trees. Darn. Foretunate for me I got to release it and I made it fly higher! YayOpen-mouthed! Then........ a sad thing happened. As I was too excited, I flew the kite too high. And when the wind blew it down, it flew behind the trees and went missing! The string was stuck on the tree! Noooooooooooo........ Crying I was devastated. There goes my kite. My first achievement in kite flying. Well I didn't know what happened to my kite but my friend said it broke from the string and dropped onto the road behind the trees.

Then we were off to our last destination, the dragon fruit plantation. We went there and was greeted by........???.........ahemm.....a baboon in the cage. Everybody was taking pictures with it. I wonder what was a baboon doing there. Then the guide explained about dragon fruit. Well, this was the first time I see so many dragon fruits up close. Anyway, we saw aeroplanes flying above us. Wow, it was so close to us. I think it was the closest I've seen in the sky. Well, it was actually because there was an airport nearby. Later we bought some dragon fruits and headed off back to school.

Phew! It was around ten long hours. This trip was long. Heading home I got some sleep. Then it was back in school and back home. I was exhausted after a long day's trip. Finally went home feeling all tired and sleepy with all the things I boughtSleepy.

School Trip to Tanjung Sepat: Part 1

Today, I went for a school trip to Tanjung Sepat! Actually it is for the form 3's only but some form 4's came along. We started our journey at 8.00a.m. Reached Tanjung Sepat an hour later. First destination was the longan plantation. Got to try some longan and other people bought longan. We went into the plantation to see the longan trees. We met some people filming some show. I think it is a reality show on RTM2. It was Teen Explorers. I heard that they were going to show it in February next year.

Next, we went to the fishball factory but it was too early so no fishballs were made yet. So, we continued on to the mushroom farm. We got to see the mushrooms that were growing there. We also got to know different types of mushrooms. There was a shop there wish sell's stuff that are made out of mushroom. Mainly 'lingzhi'. It was wierd seeing shampoo, bath and cream products made out of mushroom. Wierd. Anyway, it was a new experiece.

Then, we went to the restaurant for lunch. I don't know why we ate so early. Haven't twelve noon yet we already took our lunch. Lunch was delicious. There were eight dishes. There was fish, chicken, squid, prawn, cauliflower(?), and something like shark's fin soup. We had sliced watermelon for desert. Then we headed off to a bridge called "Lover's Bridge"(wonder why?). It was actually just a dock. We saw many mud-skippers and tiny crabs.

PMR Day 5 (THE END): Geografi

Yes! It is the last dayAll is over. I have triumph over PMR. It is done. Now all i can do is sit back relax and hope for the best for my results. Geografi was ok. Not too hard not too easy. Estimated 'tembak' 11 question. Hopefully i'll get an A. Straight A's for all 7 subjects i'm taking. Time to relax. Suddenly I feel very lazy. Don't feel like doing anything. Anyway, I have a project after PMR I have to finish. A project together with my friends. To make 'shogi' (Japanese chess). That I have to plan the schedule. Now rejoice for it is 'MERDEKA' for all form 3's. Still must come to school to get full attendance. My record is broken because some time ago I got sick and couldn't go to school... darn. Anyway, I must try my best not to 'ponteng'. Hopefully the other form 3's in my class especially won't 'ponteng'. Please......

PMR Day 4: KH

It is day 4 of the seemingly endless PMR exam. Only one paper today for me, two for the people taking Chinese. KH was a breeze though some questions need some hard thinking but I think I managed to break my record by doing this KH paper in just 30 minutes. The time given was 1 hour and 30 minutes so I had an hour to spare. Quite boring during that hour but I could see everybody still doing it. I took some time to pray for the others who were still doing the paper. Well anyway tomorrow is the last day and I will be having my last paper, Geografi and it will mean 'MERDEKA!' from exams and for some people the start of the holidays. Stayed back till 10.20a.m. to wish good luck to my friends taking Chinese. While waiting I asked my friend how is the Cinese paper is like. He made it sound tough. I guess he does not have much confidence because he didn't do well in his past exams. In my opinion, if you're not good in Chinese, don't take it. Otherwise, take it! One more day to go. All the best everyone!
*Don't have TOO much fun. Come to school. Don't 'ponteng'!*

PMR Day 3: Maths and Sejarah

Three days have passed so far. All is going quite well. Todays maths was extremely easy. I had no problem in paper 1 or paper 2. Guess I would be getting an A for maths!Wink After maths we had two long, and I mean long, hours of break. So bored. Ate lunch so early. Around 12.30a.m. Didn't feel like studying Sejarah after that. Anyway I always try not to study and stay as calm as possible before an exam. So besides studying I continued reading the form 5 BM novel 'Konserto Terakhir'. Started reading it some time in the middle of the year. Read before once in Form 1 and found it quite interesting. During Form 1 I read 'The Phantom of the Opera', 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde'(didn't quite pay attention to this story), 'Konserto Terakhir', 'Bukit Kepong'(read the first part only) and 'The Pearl'(this is the Form 5 English novel. Found it quite boring so I gave up reading it). Anyway, back to PMR. I went out of school to the nearby park to read the novel. I read about 1 chapter and then went back to school. I was worried I was gonna be late. Ok... let's talk Sejarah. As I said I didn't study Sejarah in school. Just flip through the pages. Before the exam, I was afraid that the paper was going to be tough but after that it was actually easier than I expected. Ahh... at last History is 'HISTORY'!Open-mouthed For me it is already 'merdeka!'. Two more days to go and two more papers. All the best to everyone taking exams!

PMR Day 2: BI and Science

Today was quite relaxing cause these two papers are quite easy. English paper 1 was a breeze but i'm worried about paper two. Supposed to write the experience of somebody else but I wright about myself as that person. So, i'm worried. Hopefully I won't get 'telur' for essay. Anyway, the rest was ok. Then it was Science. Today we had the most papers in one day. BI 1, BI 2, Science 1 and Science 2. It was torchering to go through so many papers in a day. Worse still I got a headache during Science paper 2. Anyway, back to Science. Paper 1 was quite easy but I had some difficulties in paper 2. Most importantly I did quite well for Science.

First day of PMR: BM

Ahh... the first day of PMR. Not so nervous but very cold. such a cold day today. Paper 1 was ok but not to say easy. Paper 2 is easier than peper 1 but it is still not to say easy.
