26th of December... Here It Comes

Today is of course the 26th. It's my PS2's birthday. It's now three years old. I remembered it's birthday because it was on the 26th of December 2004, Sunday, the day I bought it (actually my father bought it for me), the day the tsunami struck Acheh in Indonesia. I still remember it was raining that afternoon on the way back.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention about Christmas. Caroling was great. Three nights. All the fun, food and 'high'ness every night. I love Christmas. Then there was the Christmas play in my church. 'Wise Men Still Seek Him'. Great play on the birth of Jesus Christ. A whole lot of people came. Maybe it was the tracting, maybe just peoples friends. Anyway, I still think that the tracting was a great job. Had some fun time too.

Ok... now... I hate to talk about this but..... never mind. Tomorrow, PMR results will be out. The moment of truth for all Form 3's. How many A's??? Who knows? Anyway, i've got to accept my results and just thank God for getting me here today. Well, I do hope I would at least get A's. Tomorrow... what will happen? A lot of questions going through peoples minds. I wish them all the best and may God bless them. May they get whatever results they worked for or more. All the best to my friends. Now... we'll just have to wait and see... wait... and... see............

A trip to China... a language I cannot speak!

Heh, heh, heh...... just came back from China yesterday..... well actually today... early morning. Went to China for about a week. Since 23rd of November till yesterday 30th November. I kind of like the trip there. At least I got to fill the whole of November with activities. Painting, tuitions, SPBT stuff, a meeting and this trip to China.Well, I went to Kunming, China in the Yunan Province. Not only Kunming but Dali and Li Jiang. Well, those are the main cities that i went to. The others I dunno the names.

Let me make this story brief:

Took an aeroplane to China. Transit at Bangkok.  Woke up very early. I think at 4a.m. Check in at KLIA but couldn't get the plane tickets to China. Only to Bangkok. The tour company didn't give the visas. Took an hour and 45 minutes to Bangkok. Got the visas at Bangkok. Met the group from Penang. Transit to Kunming. An hour and 45 minutes to reach Kunming. Reach Kunming in the afternoon. Started tour.

Actually I can't remember the places I went to. Anyway, let me talk about the group. It is mainly consisted of school teachers. My family is the only one from KL. The others from Penang and some from Terrengganu. I am the youngest in the group. Everybody else were adults. Ok... now I shall try to remember where I went.

I went to some mountain I don't know the name. Got some statues of different kinds of Chinese God's. Then there was the Stone Forest. A World Heritage Site. All the single rocks out of no where. Caused by plate tectonic. Went to some canyon and caves. Got waterfalls, stalagmite and stalactites, some natural pool that I don't know how to explain (water go go from pool to pool, from a higher level to a lower level) and a huge hall inside the cave. Obviously that cave is smaller than Mulu caves. Then I also went was a crystal factory, jade bazaar, flower market, silk factory, Dali old town, Li Jiang new old town, and Li Jiang old town. There was also Snow Mountain in Li Jiang. First time I see real snow. I saw snow in Genting but that was fake. Too bad i've never seen snow falling from the sky. The Li Jiang old town was huge, gigantic, enormous. Such a large place it would take almost a whole day to explore it. Of course i didn't spent a whole day just 5 hours. Thing there were cheap. I got to get 26 handphone key chains for 10 yuan. By the way, their currency is RMB (Renmin something, I don't know). Locals call it Yuan for dollar. I got to go to the largest toilet in China. i was in the jade bazaar. FYI, public toilets in China do not have doors. I also stayed in a hotel where there was a hot spring. Got to use the hot spring water to bathe. Well, I guess that's all I can remember.

On the 30th, we had a few activities before we went back to Malaysia. The flight was at 3p.m. Flew to Bangkok. Got a flight at 8p.m. to KL. Reached KL past 11p.m. Waited for taxi for almost an hour. Drove back home for almost an hour. Reached back at I dunno what time. All I know is that it was certainly past midnight. Ok, think that all for this blog.Smile

By the way, in Bangkok I got to meet a group of Malaysian badminton players at the airport. They were heading back to KL. Same plane as the one i'm taking. One of them was Hafiz Hashim my sister said. The rest I dunno cause I don't exactly recognize badminton players though I watch badminton. My brother said most of them were juniors. Dunno where they came from. My brother thinks they were from the Phillipines. There is a badminton tournament there. Guess they lost.

Just bored... and lazy

Nothing to do now during this holidayz. Just read some books and go back to school once in a while to help out. Boring. Lazy. What to do? I've actually missed quite many stories cause i was lazy to type it out. Maybe next time. Lazy lah. Got the 'Genting trip'. Two days. Lazy to write. It was like last week. Got 'Paint Job 2' for the cf in school on Monday. Lazy to write. Then there was 'Gardening and unexpectedly SPBT stuff' on Tuesday. Oh yeah, got 'Last day of school!' last Saturday. Hmm.... have I written that? Got 'First time playing as a musician and carolling has begun!'. That was on Sunday. Then 'LOUD! DUMC concert' on Sunday also. Coming up got 'SPBT... again' next Monday. Well this are the titles I missed and one of it coming up. So lazy. So bored. What to do?

A learning experience

Hmm...... yesterday I got to learn how to fly a kite. It was fun. I liked it. If there was ever another chance for me to go, I would. Today, I obtained a new skill, making ketupat with coconut leaves! It was quite interesting to learn it in school. Today we were seperated into three groups, one doing napkin folding, one doing the Indian 'kolam' and last but not least the ketupat making. It frustrating at first because I couldn't get it. But then I got it and managed to accomplish making a ketupat! I was glad I did it. Then I started making another one and another one. In the end I made five full-sized ketupat and one mini version of it. Unforetunately, I didn't know what to do with all of those so I left it in school. Wonder what would happen to it tomorrow............

Trip to Tanjung Sepat: Part 2

After lunch, we were off to the fishball factory once again. On the way, we made a detour to a shop that was famous for its pow's. There, we bought some pow's. It was not bad. Quite nice. At the fishball factory, we got to see how fishballs were made. Then, some people bought fishballs. It was obviously cheaper in the factory than in the market.

Later, we went to a beachSmile! YayOpen-mouthed! This is my favourite part of this trip. We all were given one nilon kite each. Then, we assemble it and tie a roll of string onto it and then time to go fly the kite! Arghh....... got many trails end errors trying to fly the kiteDisappointed. First the sticks in the kite keep on coming out. Then I lost one of the sticks. (Foretunately there was an abandoned kite which doesn't seem to be owned by anyone so.......... you should know what I did)Tongue out. Then my kite was somewhat deformed so it kept on spinning. Therefore I had to redo the kite in a new way so that the kite was at least symmetrical so that the wind can blow evenly on the surface of the kite. Later my kite flew into the sea and got wet. The string also was wet. Then it was grounded and all the sand got stuck on it. Finally I got it flying. It was quite high. I was amazed. Though I have tried flying kite once I never got it up and flying before. (Actually, it was because I did it in a playground). Then, my kite got stuck in the trees. Darn. Foretunate for me I got to release it and I made it fly higher! YayOpen-mouthed! Then........ a sad thing happened. As I was too excited, I flew the kite too high. And when the wind blew it down, it flew behind the trees and went missing! The string was stuck on the tree! Noooooooooooo........ Crying I was devastated. There goes my kite. My first achievement in kite flying. Well I didn't know what happened to my kite but my friend said it broke from the string and dropped onto the road behind the trees.

Then we were off to our last destination, the dragon fruit plantation. We went there and was greeted by........???.........ahemm.....a baboon in the cage. Everybody was taking pictures with it. I wonder what was a baboon doing there. Then the guide explained about dragon fruit. Well, this was the first time I see so many dragon fruits up close. Anyway, we saw aeroplanes flying above us. Wow, it was so close to us. I think it was the closest I've seen in the sky. Well, it was actually because there was an airport nearby. Later we bought some dragon fruits and headed off back to school.

Phew! It was around ten long hours. This trip was long. Heading home I got some sleep. Then it was back in school and back home. I was exhausted after a long day's trip. Finally went home feeling all tired and sleepy with all the things I boughtSleepy.

School Trip to Tanjung Sepat: Part 1

Today, I went for a school trip to Tanjung Sepat! Actually it is for the form 3's only but some form 4's came along. We started our journey at 8.00a.m. Reached Tanjung Sepat an hour later. First destination was the longan plantation. Got to try some longan and other people bought longan. We went into the plantation to see the longan trees. We met some people filming some show. I think it is a reality show on RTM2. It was Teen Explorers. I heard that they were going to show it in February next year.

Next, we went to the fishball factory but it was too early so no fishballs were made yet. So, we continued on to the mushroom farm. We got to see the mushrooms that were growing there. We also got to know different types of mushrooms. There was a shop there wish sell's stuff that are made out of mushroom. Mainly 'lingzhi'. It was wierd seeing shampoo, bath and cream products made out of mushroom. Wierd. Anyway, it was a new experiece.

Then, we went to the restaurant for lunch. I don't know why we ate so early. Haven't twelve noon yet we already took our lunch. Lunch was delicious. There were eight dishes. There was fish, chicken, squid, prawn, cauliflower(?), and something like shark's fin soup. We had sliced watermelon for desert. Then we headed off to a bridge called "Lover's Bridge"(wonder why?). It was actually just a dock. We saw many mud-skippers and tiny crabs.

Streamyx!

Yay! Today at last the Streamyx is finally working! Now I can browse the internet faster. Wow! There is a lot of difference in the internet connection speed. Last time was only around 50kbps but now it is 100Mbps! So fast! Actually I got the Streamyx modem last week but couldn't work properly. After the TMnet guy came to fix it, it is now working properly. now I can download stuff much faster!Smile

Tomorrow i'll be going back to my hometown in Penang. Hopefully i'll have a great time there as well in the car. Hopefully no traffic jam.

PMR Day 5 (THE END): Geografi

Yes! It is the last dayAll is over. I have triumph over PMR. It is done. Now all i can do is sit back relax and hope for the best for my results. Geografi was ok. Not too hard not too easy. Estimated 'tembak' 11 question. Hopefully i'll get an A. Straight A's for all 7 subjects i'm taking. Time to relax. Suddenly I feel very lazy. Don't feel like doing anything. Anyway, I have a project after PMR I have to finish. A project together with my friends. To make 'shogi' (Japanese chess). That I have to plan the schedule. Now rejoice for it is 'MERDEKA' for all form 3's. Still must come to school to get full attendance. My record is broken because some time ago I got sick and couldn't go to school... darn. Anyway, I must try my best not to 'ponteng'. Hopefully the other form 3's in my class especially won't 'ponteng'. Please......

PMR Day 4: KH

It is day 4 of the seemingly endless PMR exam. Only one paper today for me, two for the people taking Chinese. KH was a breeze though some questions need some hard thinking but I think I managed to break my record by doing this KH paper in just 30 minutes. The time given was 1 hour and 30 minutes so I had an hour to spare. Quite boring during that hour but I could see everybody still doing it. I took some time to pray for the others who were still doing the paper. Well anyway tomorrow is the last day and I will be having my last paper, Geografi and it will mean 'MERDEKA!' from exams and for some people the start of the holidays. Stayed back till 10.20a.m. to wish good luck to my friends taking Chinese. While waiting I asked my friend how is the Cinese paper is like. He made it sound tough. I guess he does not have much confidence because he didn't do well in his past exams. In my opinion, if you're not good in Chinese, don't take it. Otherwise, take it! One more day to go. All the best everyone!
*Don't have TOO much fun. Come to school. Don't 'ponteng'!*

PMR Day 3: Maths and Sejarah

Three days have passed so far. All is going quite well. Todays maths was extremely easy. I had no problem in paper 1 or paper 2. Guess I would be getting an A for maths!Wink After maths we had two long, and I mean long, hours of break. So bored. Ate lunch so early. Around 12.30a.m. Didn't feel like studying Sejarah after that. Anyway I always try not to study and stay as calm as possible before an exam. So besides studying I continued reading the form 5 BM novel 'Konserto Terakhir'. Started reading it some time in the middle of the year. Read before once in Form 1 and found it quite interesting. During Form 1 I read 'The Phantom of the Opera', 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde'(didn't quite pay attention to this story), 'Konserto Terakhir', 'Bukit Kepong'(read the first part only) and 'The Pearl'(this is the Form 5 English novel. Found it quite boring so I gave up reading it). Anyway, back to PMR. I went out of school to the nearby park to read the novel. I read about 1 chapter and then went back to school. I was worried I was gonna be late. Ok... let's talk Sejarah. As I said I didn't study Sejarah in school. Just flip through the pages. Before the exam, I was afraid that the paper was going to be tough but after that it was actually easier than I expected. Ahh... at last History is 'HISTORY'!Open-mouthed For me it is already 'merdeka!'. Two more days to go and two more papers. All the best to everyone taking exams!

PMR Day 2: BI and Science

Today was quite relaxing cause these two papers are quite easy. English paper 1 was a breeze but i'm worried about paper two. Supposed to write the experience of somebody else but I wright about myself as that person. So, i'm worried. Hopefully I won't get 'telur' for essay. Anyway, the rest was ok. Then it was Science. Today we had the most papers in one day. BI 1, BI 2, Science 1 and Science 2. It was torchering to go through so many papers in a day. Worse still I got a headache during Science paper 2. Anyway, back to Science. Paper 1 was quite easy but I had some difficulties in paper 2. Most importantly I did quite well for Science.

First day of PMR: BM

Ahh... the first day of PMR. Not so nervous but very cold. such a cold day today. Paper 1 was ok but not to say easy. Paper 2 is easier than peper 1 but it is still not to say easy. Anyway, this time I had enough time. My essay ok lah. Hmm.... nothing else to wright. Anyway, tomorrow is my friends birthday, Geber to be precise. Hmm.... what to buy for him? Still wondering.......

Next up: PMR

So, PMR is just round the corner. PMR......hmm.....terryfying isn't it. The the sound of it makes people go into a study frenzyNerd. I shouldn't give any comment about PMR but for me PMR shouldn't be feared. It's just an exam though not any ordinary exam but it is not as important as SPM or STPM, right? Nobody should worry if they have studied enough. Sometimes I see my classmates all studying. I feel so guilty for not studying as hard as they are. They are so, tense, and, 'saturated'(more than 'concentrated'). But my advise for them, study, relax and try to have some fun. Make jokes and laugh. Go for a walk. Be confident with yourself but not too confident. Don't be too confident too often too easily. But I still think the most important thing is to smile and laugh.

As for me, I got 7A's for mid-termWink, 6A's 1B for trials(Sejarah...darn)Disappointed and my post trials wasn't that bad. I'm not too say fully prepared for PMR but I have faith in myself. I am only worried about Sejarah and BM. Actually, I shouldn't be worried(though I am) because worrying is useless for certain things, especially exams. I am confident but I hope I won't get too confident. Well, after PMR hopefully I will have a lot of fun and hopefully I get to study better next year for I will be facing a new exam, SPM. I am trying to organize my studies next year. Have a better studying plan to study better and try not to boast too much. I must humble myself. I am not planning to be Ketua Tingkatan again because I really don't have much confident I am suitable for this post. Hopefully I will be in a good class but I don't think I want to go to 4A. Well, I just need at least one friend that I know well in my class.

I have been praying for my exams and for my friends as well. I wish that the whole form 3 would get straight A's but it most likely won't happen. But I can always still hope. By right everyone should be able to get straight A's. All the best to those taking PMR and try to prevent yourself from getting sick. Remember to have faith in yourself and get enough rest. Relief stress by going for walks or rewarding youself. Make a joke. Make people laugh. Smile and be happy. Once again I would like to say, ALL THE BEST!!!Open-mouthed

Lantern Festival

Ahh... could not do this yesterday. Too sleepy last night. Anyway yesterday's lantern festival in my ex-school SKTM was great!!! Open-mouthed Got to meet my ex-schoolmates. Long time no see. I got to meet my best friend Jun WenSurprised who went to DJ. I also got to meet with Wen Kit, Adrian, Hilary, Ashley, Sabrini, 'yuppy', and..... hmm, looks like I forgot most of them. Oh, I also met some friends that is from SMKTS like Joseph, Montri, Hui Ying, Yuen Ling, Suk Munn,..... I think that's all for my year. I saw some older ex-SKTM students and found out that some form 2's in SMKTS were from SKTM! I did not know that Neil and Yew Leung was from my old school. I also got to meet my old teacher's. Well, I didn't spend much time there to chat because I had a time limit. Argg.... why must lantern festival be so close to the exams? Anyway, I had a great time there and it brought back memories of my old times in SKTM. Well, farewell to my old friends and may we meet next year.

Exam results, my position and the number 4!!!

Today, I came to school, collected the 'buku ponteng' and went to class. As I was walking to class, I met Jeyanthi and Ivory. They said that the position for 'percubaan' is out and that I got 4th place in class. I went to class but didn't manage to check my results because teacher was about to leave. Well, according to my friends, I got 4thSurprised.

Then during maths period I managed to check my position, marks and the top ten. 1st was Shawna(applause), 2nd, Ivory(applause), 3rd, Sasvin(he is too into studies. Too concentrated or should I say 'saturated'), 4th, ME(yay)Open-mouthed, 5th, Pei Ning(another smart one. This time I beat her), 6th, Nashvin(another fella lika Sasvin), 7th, Ming Soon(unexpectedly. We usually call him the alien in class. Dunno who started it and why. I think Khai Sern started it), 8th there are two people, Li Ann(very smart and doesn't go for any tuition. Wonder why so smart) and Yi Lin(no comments about her. Not sure of her standard) and last but not least 10th place, Jack(he is quite smart. Used to not go for any tuition but now he is attending BM tuition). My friend Khai Sern got 16th place. Three people got 20th place. My friend Parvin, Hui Ying and another girlRight hug. Well, that is all I know about the positions. Then, I noticed that I got 4th which is auspiciously unlucky. Then suddenly I started noticing the fours around me. I was using book number 4 for maths, doing test 4, just finished question 4 when I was checking my marks, my name has 4 words, and 3 words in my name has 4 letters! Then during English, I got back my paper 2 and guess what I got.........44!!!Surprised

Moving on........my purata was 84.1%(another 4!!!). But then, during KH, I got to claim 1 mark(yahoo!)Smile. Therefore from 589 I plus one mark which makes it 590. Not much difference. My rival Sasvin also managed to add one mark so I don't think there will be any change in position. Not in the top ten. Well, at least I got 4th place compered to my 7th place for mid-term. Unfortunetly, this time I only got 6A's and 1B. Well, hopefully PMR will be much easier and lower standard and hopefully I can get 7A's(actually, I would prefer the whole form 3 to gat straight A's. Especially the top 3 classes)Open-mouthed

1st trials over

At last the first trials is over. Unforetunetly, there will be another one coming right before PMR. Well, actually I don't have much to write in my blog. Anyway, my results so far so good. Got back 5 subjects. All A's so far. Couldn't believe it when I found out that I got 92Surprised for Geography. Didn't expect so high marks because mid-term I only got 75Wink, border line.

Today, I had seni amali exam. Was doing question 3. Something to do with batik design. Started out ok. My design was quite ok for me. But I didn't have enough time to finish it. So, i had to improvise. Erased some flowers and the second border. Then my art piece looked so plain. What can I do? Better to finish it rather than not finishing it. Thank God there is no art exam in PMR or SPM.

Nothing else to write.......well then, thats all. No mood to write anymore..............Jsooncx signing off.Open-mouthed

Holidays

Hmmm...........nothing to write about for the holidays. It's ok. So far so good. A little boring. To fill my free time I had to study. Study, and study. Well, now i'm studying Sejarah Chapter 7 Form 2. I don't think I would make it studying Sejarah and Geography during this holidays. So.........Sejarah would do. Planning on doing some pass year questions before the exam on Monday. Goegraphy.....i'll just do some pass year questions too. Anyway, teacher already asked us to do a lot of question papers in the month of July. I think that would do.

My way of study is to study relaxing. Relax a bit while studying. Mostly I study lying down on a bed or the sofa. Study one chapter then have a drink and rest or play the guitar. Want to study also must relax a bit. Studying too much at a time can be stressful and it might not be good for you. Sometimes studying too much will just make you more worried about the exams and you would tend to forget what you have studied. Though some people say that you shouldn't study with music but I still do it. But don't get too distracted. You need to go out for a walk sometimes to release stress. This is how I study. Very relaxing. On the day of the exam, I try not to study. Just flip through the pages. I need to be confident and not too worried. When I look around the class I see people looking very stressed out and asking their friends questions. I think they are too worried. Hey, we must chill. Calm down.

Competetive spirit is also good. Compete with your friends and see who will get higher marks. Comfort yourself by singing a song. Always smile, laugh and be happy. It is good for you.

Maths was TERRIFYING!!!

Today we had maths percubaan. It was extremely tough especially paper 2. Paper 1 was ok (not to say perfect because had to tembak one). But paper 2......paper2 was shocking. I was scared. Scared to get wrong. I was aiming to get 100% for maths but I don't think it is possible now, unless a miracle happens. Talking about miracles, my friend Timothy was praying to God to help him iin a question for paper 1 and suddenly...............a figure appeared. A number. The number - 9Light bulb. Then I think he got that particular question right. God is trully great!

As I was aiming for 100% (actually I call it satu kayu, dua telur), I was extremely scared of making a silly mistake. So, for every question in paper 1 I did, I double-checked it on the spot. That means I did it twice. As I was doing and doing until question 25, I realised I was running off schedule. So I sped up. After finishing once, I checked again. That would mean I triple-checked my paper 1. Altogether I only tembak 1.

Then......in paper 2..........1st question:
....+2(15-56/3)
Oh no, i'm not sure which to do first.Surprised
Then advancing into more detailed work:
sin x'=8/17
Therefore, cos x'=15/17..........?
Ok, what then is 1-cos x'?
Oh, noooooooooooooooooooooooo................
In the end I had to come up with some type of wierd answer.
x'=15/17 X cos^-1
I bet that it is wrong.

So. how unfortunate. As far as I know, I have never gotten 100% for maths or any other subject in an EXAM. Only tests. Well, what is done is done. I can't do anything with what I have done. Leave it all to fate. I can only trust and have faith in what I have done.Sad

Minesweeper Flags!!!

Well, according to what I know, many people do not know how to play minesweeper. Many do not know how to play minesweeper flags too. Usually those who do not know anything about the game would simply click anywhere without knowing the clues that are actually possible to see through those numbers. Anyway, for those intermediate and experts in the game they would know the possible sites of the mines. Unfortunately sometimes it is just impossible to find where the mines are. Especially when you are out of clues. By now you would have to depend on luck.

Yesterday...or should I say this early morning, I played a game with Khai Sern who challenged me in minesweeper flags. I played 20 matches with him for around 2 hours I think. In the end, I beat him 11-9. It was a close game. At the starting, it was my win then Khai Sern's, then mine again, then Khai Sern. Then, towards the ending, our scores (in the game) were like so close, 25-25 and 24-25. There was one game when we were at 25-25, one more point to win, one more mine left and it was Khai Sern's turn. There was two possible choices. Khai Sern made his move. Then....................unfortunately he got the wrong one. In the end, I won that match. Wow, that was so lucky. Don't usually get into that situation in a game. Then, he wanted to challenge me again, tonight. I saw him online but I did not fell like playing because I played untill so late last night. Nevermind, one day we will have a match again. Till then!

Saturday school - Bad attendance

Today, I had school. Saturday school. I expected bad attendance for my class but it turned out quite good. 30 out of 42 came. Not bad for my class. 3A only got about 20 over and 3 BR only 16. Very bad exxpectations for good classes. Worse still the class next door was empty. It was an arts stream form 4 class. Nobody came! One teacher came to my class asking where are the students next door. It turns out that nobody came.

Studies continued in my class. We had maths, science, KH and for me the last period was WBS. Went to 3BR. The class was empty. Only a few people were there. The tables were diveded, four on each side. My friend said that they played dodgeball and football there. The last period was pretty boring. Nothing to do so I helped out cleaning their class. Swept the floor, cleaned the whiteboard and arranged their table. Hopefully my effort won't go into waste.

Today my two friends, Khai Sern and Parvin where pugnacious. They treat each other as if they can't see each other. Just like ghosts. So I called them pugnacious ghosts. One a bellicose ghost, the other a belligerent ghost. Well, actually I calle Khai Sern the belligerent and Parvin the bellicose. For your information, pugnacious means eager to fight and aggressive. Bellicose means eager to fight and belligerent means aggresive. Igot these words from teh dictionary. As I was so board, I took out my Oxford coloured dictionary and thesaurus to find these words. I also found that ....? Oh, I forgot the other two words. Nevermind, I just want to say that the dictionary is very useful. Just don't go too far.

Youth Day was AWESOME! -GAYA-

Wow! This event is very special. Once a year my church celebrates youth day. This year it was extremely AWESOME . With some planetshaker song and some other fast beat songs. The musicians were like pro's. One drummer, two electric guitarist, a base guitarist, two backup singers and TWO worship leaders. First time I saw so many stuff on stage during worship session besides during presentations.
Let me explain about youth day. Once a year, my church will celebrate youth day specially for the youths of the church. It is usually after father's day and mother's day. The youths will be doing most of the things on this occasion. The ushers are youths, the musicians are youths tha backup singers and worship leaders are also youths. My church's youth group is called GAYA, which stands for Gospel Assembly Youth Aflame. We have our meetings every Sunday after service inthe afternoon. Sometimes somebody will preach to us, sometimes we will go out for an outing and some times we have games! We often play table tennis or football after church. We have our own football and ping pong table.
At the end of youth day, there was a short show on us, the youths and on the 2nd Homeschool Sports Carnival. I got to see myself run with my friends in the 4x100m race. My friend Benjamin was really fast. In the end we managed to get 1st. Besides running there was also football, basketball, badminton, ping pong and other sports.
We ended with one last song from planetshakers. Then it was lunch time at the fellowship court.

I have never skipped school till today

For the pass two years in secondary school, I have never skipped school. I had full attendance every year till today. There goes my goal of getting full attendance. Just because I am sick today I couldn't go to school. I feel sad and disappionted.

Yesterday I woke up having a bad stomach ache so I went to the toilet. After that I felt fine. So, I went to school. Then after reccess, my stomach felt painful. I endured it till the end of school. On the way back, I started feeling like to vomit. Then when I reached home I went to the toilet and did my business. Right after that I vomitted. Well, I think that's all i'm gonna say about my sickness. I shouldn't tell the details.

The thing that I regret most is not being able to go to school. There goes my hard work of trying to get full attendance every year.

About my sprained ankle.

Today no perhimpunan but got raptai for perbarisan on sports day. My TL came looking for me to see weather I can march or not. I got injured during 'saringan' 2 last Thursday. I was jumping hurdles against school athletes. I knew I didn't have a chance to win but I still tried. As I reached the last hurdle, a QM walked in front of the hurdle so I stopped. Then when I wanted to go over the hurdle, I tripped and fell and I sprained my ankle and the hurdle fell on my foot. At first it wasn't pain so I went to replace my friend in 400m. Ended up last as expected and exhausted. Then when I rested my ankle started to hurt. It swelled.

After 3 nights I was back to school on Monday. On Friday I was wearing slippers because my ankle was swollen. Today I wore shoe.At first I didn't feel much but after I went for marching my ankle started to ache. I came back to class with my foot feeling tight. It was aching. How i'd wish that my foot would heal so that I could march on sports day.

Pretty boring right. I have nothing to right about today so I tried my best. Not in the mood anyway. I feel very sad.

After the mid-term holidays

Well, I am becoming lazy by the moment. Don't feel like to blog anymore. Well, I'll try my best. After the holidays I have to re-adjust myself to the homework and early morning alarm. Oh no! Just noticed I have homework to do. Nevermind, just a few maths questions. Nothing to worry. After resting for the whole holidays, I feel that I have rested too much. Have to start studying. Anyway, PMR is coming in less than 5 months.

Today I went back to school and find myself burdened with ketua tingkatan work. Not forgetting the sejarah project that I didn't touch at all during the holidays. Well, I got a head start before the holidays so i'm not so worried. Don't know when is the dateline. Back to the main point. I was given an assignment by teacher to get all the marks of the subjects we haven't got back like P. Seni and PJK. Went around to look for Cik Julie, my art teacher. Couldn't find her. Went to her room and the bilik guru twice but still could not find her. Teacher keep pointing at the front wall of the class saying that she is over there. I thought she was pointing to the bilik guru but she was actually pointing to the class next door! How could I miss her? Then I went to find En. Henry, my PJK teacher. Went around again finding for him and I couldn't find him. I then met with Montri also finding En. Henry. We both went looking for him together. Then, we spotted him at the field. I went with him to his table to get the test papers but teacher couldn't find it. He said he gave it to somebody already. Then Pn. Lin, the counselor came in. I heard her talking about the kursus kepimpinan tomorrow. Wait, tomorrow? It turns out that it is tomorrow according to my friend.

Before the holidays, I was asked what sports event I want to join for the sports day. I said I wanted 100m, 4x400m, and long jump. But in the end, I was given 110m HURDLES, 4x400m, and long jump. Why did I get these events? I have totally no experience in hurdles, I have not enough stamina for 400m but the long jump is OK. I don't think I can win the track events. Then it was stated that the 110m hurdles and the 4x400m are on the same date and time. Is there some error? How can two track events be at the same time? That's it. I won't join more than 2 events next year. Better still I just join 1 event. These events will make me so tired especially the 4x400m. I don't know how long can I last.

Holidays

What should I say about holidays? Is it good or bad? Do I enjoy holidays or not? Well, I have to say that I don't quite like holidays. Staying at home doing almost nothing. I'm always lazy during the holidays. Sleeping late and waking up late. Sometimes just because I am so lazy I get sick. Boredom is what I usually face during these times of the year. What do I do to fill my time? Nothing much. Just surfing the internet, doing homework, projects, playing computer games and the PS2. Well, after playing the same game over and over again, i'm starting to get bored of the game. Well, I feel that long holidays are boring if you don't do something.

Have you ever got the feeling in school, wishing that the holidays would come soon but when it comes you just hate it and want to go back to school because there is nothing to do? Well, I often get this feeling. Though holidays can be sometimes boring, there are times when it is fun and exciting and whan you can enjoy it to the fullest. One of that time that I have each year is during Christmas. I really do enjoy Christmas. All those carolling and the Christmas mood. My church youth goes carolling for 3 days usually. We get to go to peoples houses to eat and enjoy ourselves besides having a good time carolling. The journey to those houses too are fun. We joke around in the car and play some silly stuff. How I miss Christmas. Well, i'm looking forward to the next Christmas at the end of the year. It is truly the time where I can enjoy after a whole year of endurance. It marks the end of the year and the coming of a new year. The past is behind us. We can look forward to the future.

Holidays are supposed to let us have a break after many months of work. Usually, families would go for trips and vacations together to enjoy thamselves and to strenghten relationships. Teenagers go out with their peers to have some fun too.

Holidays. Once you enter it, you tend to get lazy and don't want to do your work. Neither do you want to study. Well, that's after it is too late. By right, if you want to avoid from being lazy, you should start working on whatever you want to do right before the holidays start. It would be too late when you start to feel lazy and have no mood to study or do work. At that point, not much can be done because when you don't have the mood to do anything you might as well not do it because it won't be effective. But some people still go on pushing themself to do some work. Not many succeeds but some do. Well it will have to take a lot of will power to do it and the urge to do it. Once you get fired up make sure it doesn't go off till you finished what you have started.

Hope you'll have a good time during the holidays and have fun. Don't forget to study and do some excercise though.

Paint job

Went to school today to join the CF'ers to paint the school. Well not the whole school but just a few walls and pillars. When I was at the school, the gardener asked us, "Why are we here? You should be enjoying your holidays in somewhere like Cameron Highlands." Then my friend Joseph answered, "Because we are not good enough so we came back to study." There were some renjers here too painting the wall af the teachers staircase.

Well the first thing we had to do was to scrape all the paint of first. Well is was no easy job to do. First I did one wall then another. Well to fill our time besides scraping, me and my friends imagined what we are scraping as making oceans around land, which is the paint. We started joining oceans together and got small islands. We found Korea, Penang, Pulau Besar and other more places. Besides that, we were also observing the previous paint. we saw beige, black, grey, yellow, green, red, blue, dark green, and of course the latest colour, pink. We also saw what seems to be like the numbers '101' and a word 'NO'. Wierd.

Then we had a break and had some nasi lemak. Some of us didn't go for the break but continued scraping. Well, I was one of them. I have to admit that I can be a perfectionist at some times. I scraped and scraped until the whole part of paint at my section was completely scraped of. Well I also would like the person who helped me.

Then at last we can start painting. Worth the while scraping so hardly till my hands so tired. The amazing part about the scraping is that we got to see sparks flying out. Then the name Jordin Sparks came to me. The latest American Idol. We had quite a fun time painting and we also had a cendol break. Then we had a group photo together.

After all the painting was done, another side job was done. We had to carry quite many boxes of tiles from the car park to BIlik Seri Mawar. Oh, this is the hardest part. After the endless scraping, now it is this back-breaking task. The boxes of tiles were so heavy. Indeed, eyes can be decieving. This was no comparison to the carrying of the school magazine last year. After three boxes, I gave up and started cleaning the floor that got paint. At first the turpentine wasn't working. Then we tried to scrape it out. After pouring water to clean the residue, miraculously the paint was easier to come of.

After a long days work (actually, it was only 6 hours), I went home. Rested and relax and got a nap. I feeled very tired and my back is aching till now.

I don't like this day

Another boring day again today. Teacher didn't teach anything today. I got back my Science and KH marks today. My Science wan't good. I only got 78. My paper 1 wasn't bad but my paper 2 made me loose a lot of marks. Two questions I got 'telur'. Then, I got back my KH marks. 80 only. Not good. My tradition has been broken. My tradition was to get 90+ for KH. My highest was at form 1, 98. Just because of one perniagaan dan keusahawanan question. That's why I don't like that chapter. Well my formula for success was: liking KH so much. Especially tanaman hiasan, elektrik, elektronik, lukisan teknik and pilihan 3, Pertanian. I like pertanian even though my school doesn't do that. This has pulled my purata down to 80.3. Though I might not get 1st in class, I am aiming to get 1st boy. But I know of two people that got higher than me. Sasvin, 80.8 and Nashvin, 81.5. Now i'll have to depend on my P. Seni. I don't think my BI and P. Moral can help.

Then when I was at the KH bengkel, I got shocked when I found that I lost the buku ponteng and the marks for KH for all the boys. I searched everywhere and asked everyone but it was no where to be found. Then I went to see teacher and I found it in his room. Thank God.

My ways to answering objective questions

Well it came to me one day. I thought about a way to answer objective questions.
There are four ways to answer a question:
1. Question - Fact - Answer (the best way to answer a question. Only if you are clumsy then you get wrong)
2. Question - Logic - Guess - Answer (best used when you totally don't know which is the answer)
3. Question - Elimination - Logic - Guess - Answer (best used when you know which answer is wrong and there are two or three answera left)
4. Question - Elimination - Answer ( best used when you cannot apply the correct fact but know the wrong fact)
It is also better to combine 2 methods(Either: E- Elimination, F- Fact, L- Logic).
Actually you can make a chart out of this formula(like a food chain) but I couldn't show it here because I don't know how to draw it here.

I can't imagine the class after PMR

School today was so boring. The class was in a havoc. Everything is disorganized. The whole class was noisy. Teacher's weren't teaching. It was as if the holidays have just started. I was so bored today. I began reading the dictionary again and then read the form 5 BM novel, 'Konserto Terakhir'. Then, my group made the seni project. It was so noisy. Everybody was so 'excited'. Except for some people behind the class. Some of them were sleeping. Some went 'ponteng'ing, some went for the teacher's day rehearsal. Few people were absent. Then, at a moment I imagined the class AFTER PMR. Oh no. I don't think I can control the class. It would most probably be noisy. All the chairs and tables disorganized. Many people wiil be absent. They're gonna give me a headache. Even the class will be dirty. People will be playing around. Talking, talking and talking to fill their time. I fear the teacher will scold all of us. Hopefully it won't be so bad.

Then, a teacher came in and asked me to go for some leadership course. This time it was only me. The Penolong wasn't involved. How lucky. Anyway, I hava been to this leadership course before. Last year it was by Sunway University College. It wasn't interesting and they had some games which I didn't enjoy playing. Then when I got my cert, my name was spelt wrong(Joel Soon CHUAH Xiao). Well I didn't care. Anyway, it happened to me before.

Lucky or unlucky?

Argh!!! got back another test papers. This time BM. When I saw paper 2, I was shocked to see that I got 69/100. This is not good. As expected, Khai Sern beat me in paper 2. Cause of low marks: 'ringkasan' and 'Bahagian B'. Only got 10 for ringkasan. Not good. After calculating my end marks, it turns out that I got....75%(again?). Then I thought,"Am I lucky or unlucky?. Lucky to get just on de line or unlucky because I got so low. Same goes to the other subjects, Geography and Sejarah, both also got 75%. So far all A's. But so low. Wierd?

Today, I found some new words while reading the dictionary. Too much free time. The words were:
1. notorious - well known for doing something bad.
2. elephantine - big, huge, elephant like, clumsy
The others I forgot.

What a day

Phew. It's about time I finished this Windows Live Spaces thing. Took me soooo... long to do it and I still haven't explored it yet. It might not be that complete but it will do for me now. Well, i'm not that good at the internet and my internet speed is so slow! Anyway, glad I did it.
Just today my mid-term exams ended. Too bad for the afternoon session 'cause theirs just started(pity). How disappointed was I when I found out that I did not do well for my KH test which I wanted ta get 100. Well, I almost got it last time in form one, just one question away. So close yet soooo... far )-; . Then, I got my Sejarah and Geografi marks back. Well it wasn't bad, right at the line at 75. I could have done better. Then, O My Goodness, I got 99 for my maths exam. What is this? I got wrong for the question I least expect to get wrong(geram!!!). And then, I got a bad news from Khai Sern. Actually,it was Ming Soon who told me.
"You only got 10 marks for your 'ringkasan' in your BM exam."
I wonder where did they get that news from. Khai Sern was so anxious to get back his BM paper because he did well in it and our BM teacher credited his BM essay. Well, he just wants to beat me in some thing because so far I beat him in everything. Anyway, I am still happy.
On Saturday, wow, my team won for 4x100m. We got gold during an event in Matsushita Sports Centre. Kind'a like a sports day among home schools. How unfortunate for me I didn't manage to win 100m because:
1. the other runners where very FAST.
2. I haven't train for a long time(aiyo, that's why i am aching everywhere now).
3. actually I got agood start, BUT, I slipped and lost balance and also lost time and also dropped to 4th place. But then, I managed to ketchup to 3rd place.
Today was the last exam, which is P. Seni(Amali). I did it quite well. Well, it's because I used crayons, my specialty. But, fuyou, I saw Pei Ning's one extremely chun. Almost like a pro.
I have to admit about my life. I have changed a LOT since I came in to SMKTS. At first, form 1, I very quiet, shy, not many friends, not so active in the internet, not interactive, not known, still very rajin, very angel-like(so it seems) and actually not so smart. Well, I made it through the first year quite well. Suddenly being a Ketua Kebersihan and getting 1st in class. Then in the beginning of form 2, changed to a more interactive person, kena become Ketua Tingkatan suddenly, still not active in the internet, still rajin but not so, had more friends, and became too proud of myself. Then at the second half of form 2, I became more lazy and bad. Then the year ended and I got Messenger and Hotmail. Form 3 came and it was... Oh it was... I was just very different from my old self. I interacted more, became more stuck to computer, became more active in kokurikulum, became a Ketua Tingkatan(again), and became lazy. Seems like I have contracted a virus called 'lazyness'.
